About this Cook
I'm a wife and stay-at-home mommy of 3 little family is my life. I'm also the proud sister of a US Army Ranger!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook almost anything, and we BBQ year-round, everyday in the summer. I love to bake and am learing to decorate cakes...which is super fun!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our family is young and we are working on new traditions, so as soon as I learn to make cinnamon rolls WELL we will have them every Christmas morning and on the first snowfall of the year.
My cooking triumphs
Learning to decorate cakes, that was one of my life goals!
My cooking tragedies
Crockpot Orange Chicken-I meant to put it on for 8 hours on low....but put it on high! We ate out that night...

Low Sugar Strawberry Rhubarb Crunch
I made this last night and it was AMAZING! My family loves strawberry rhubarb pies and crisps but we are try hard to cut back on the sugar we eat. This was perfect! Even my brother, the only one that doesn't like strawberry rhubarb, thought it was "actually pretty good". I did add extra fruit, just because I only had a little left and threw it in and it didn't change things at all. We topped ours with homemade whipped cream. I will be making this again...very soon!

Chayote and Sausage Stew
My family really liked this stew. I wouldn't normally have bought chayote but I recieved some as part of a food co-op and had no idea what to do with them! When I saw this recipe I knew it would go over well...and it did!

Buffalo Chicken Wraps
Very good recipe! Quick and easy, something I always look for when I'm cooking. I grilled the chicken instead of frying it, and used coleslaw mix instead of lettuce.
