Amazing! Cut the sugar to 1 cup and I think I could have cut it a bit more.

Rice Cereal Energy Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2014
SO SO SO YUMMY!!!! Don't forget the almond essence, that's the best part! I used Nature valley brown rice cereals. I trick, mix the grains and oat with the dry fruit, it prevents lumps and helps to stick everything together. Use parchemin paper instead of butter in a backing sheet. Use honey instead of corn syrup.

Lovely! I cut the shredded cheese and added some feta. Good with cauliflower or broccoli.

Moroccan Quinoa Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2014
I find that 1 cup of quinoa is enough. I always rinse the quinoa thoroughly and then roast in a pan without oil or anything first. In a pot, cook as prescribed. I did the recipe as written and added diced red pepper and a few table spoons of oil. YUMMY!!!

Rhubarb Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2014
Possible to do with whole wheat. Just add about 1/4 cup of milk to the wet ingredients. Instead of vanilla yogourt, can do with plain and add a teaspoon of vanilla. I like to add zest of lemon or orange with rhubarb, it enhance flavours.

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2014
Had never donuts before and this recipe worked like a charm. Followed a reviewer's method in the bread maker. Pour everything in according to BM recommendations, set in dough cycle and remove when it has doubled (You need a 3lb bread machine). Roll and cut and let rise 25-30 minutes (about 1/3 of the size, not more). Fry and drain on paper towels. Dip in 2-3 cups of pure simmering maple syrup. Lay on a wire rack set on a cookie sheet to avoid the mess. DELICIOUS! Freeze well.

Ranch Bean Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2013
Excellent! I did not have ranch dressing so I used this recipe from this site: Dry Ranch Style Seasoning for Dip or Dressing. I added 1/8 teaspoon of smoked paprika.

Muffin Pan Frittatas

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2013
I significantly changed the recipe. I used 2 cups of grated potatoes instead of asparagus. Like Naples34102 said, no need to fry the ingredient first. I just mixed everything and pour in 10 large muffins tins. It was quick and leftovers are great for lunches. Next time, I'll some herbs and garlic because I thought it lacked a bit of taste.

Pumpkin Wheat Honey Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2013
Excellent! Toddlers were to eat them so instead of unpasteurized honey, I used maple syrup and I replaced walnuts by chia seeds.

Turtle Cheesecake

amazing!!! What a wonderful cake. I made chocolate pecans to decorate. It did crack though despite playing with the temp (450, then 250) and not opening the oven. Oh well...

Beetnik Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2012
Good cake but has an earthy taste to it. For a healthier version, I used whole wheat flour, half the sugar and a can of 14 oz of pineapple (instead of 8oz, to compensate for whole wheat). I also added 1 cup of sliced almonds. 60 min baking time in a Bundt pan.

Tasteful Tahini Salad Dressing

Reviewed: May 29, 2012
Very mild. I added lots of ginger (at least 1.5 inch of root), an extra tbs of lemon juice and about 2 tbs of sesame oil (dark one). I used rice vinegar. I suggest to omit the water instead of adding all that stuff...

Black-Eyed Pea Gumbo

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2011
Very bland as is. It needs at least 2 tab spoon of cajun spice, 2 tea spoon Spanish paprika, 1 tea spoon thyme, 2 tea spoon fresh rosemary and 1/4 tea spoon chipotle pepper. 2 cups of cooked black-eyed peas w/o liquid was enough.
