Ice Cream Cake

I have saved so much money over the years making this type of cake for birthdays! I used the round cake pan method also and lined them with plastic wrap and then put softened ice cream in so it was the same shape as the cake. After assembling and freezing, I then covered it all with thawed Cool Whip returning to the freezer until serving time. I suggest you take the cake out of the freezer for at least 15 minutes before trying to slice.

Turkey Breast with Gravy

I fully intended to make the slow cooker turkey breast recipe on this web site but when I pulled out my crock pot and the turkey breast, there was no way it was going to fit! So I made this recipe instead. So glad I did because it was delicious and moist! After about an hour of cooking, I realized there were no juices to baste with so I added 2 cups of water to the bottom of the pan and basted several times. I then followed the gravy directions and added all the liquid from the pan (strained) to the gravy. Really tasty!

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

I would give this recipe 8 stars! My son-in-law whose favorite desset is cheesecake declared it better than Cheesecake Factory and I have to agree! I used a water bath and left it in the oven another hour after I turned it off to cool slowly and it was perfectly gorgeous. I will leave it with the oven turned on for another 10 minutes next time just because the center was ever so soft but ovens vary so that could just be mine.

Uncle White's Bread Machine Rolls

Really delicious with a rich taste that makes you think they are full of fat but they're not! I even used fat free buttermilk and did not brush with butter. Instead I beat the unused egg white slightly and brushed it on the rolls before putting in the oven for a beautiful golden brown finish and nice crust. I did the cloverleaf style and they looked great.

Sour Cream Scalloped Potatoes

Oh so delicious :) I left out the sugar also as I didn't want this to be like punch. I added the club soda and glad I did because it lightened it a bit. The punch bowl was empty by the time we finished our appetizers!

White Peach Sangria

My friends have come to expect me to bring this whenever we have a warm weather gathering. As a matter of fact, my daughter has requested it for her May wedding! I cut the vodka because it's pretty strong otherwise but it is so delicious and perfect for a crowd.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Very easy to make and spread and the almond taste is nice. Not sure how you could follow the original recipe and make it spreadable. I added more milk instead of more corn syrup. I make the Best Rolled Sugar Cookies recipe on this site and needed a quadruple recipe of icing.

Baja Grilled Chicken Wrap

True Blue Custard Crunch Pie

A little different and very good. My son-in-law does not care for nuts in desserts so I substituted toffee bits for the pecans which made it a little sweeter but very nice flavor. Next time I'll cut the sugar in the topping to balance it. I also baked it a bit longer to make the topping nice and crunchy and it was even after being refrigerated. Thanks for this recipe!

This is so good and the dough is very easy to work with. I did not use the anise extract but rather about 1/2 t. almond extract and 1 t. vanilla. I also mixed in about 1/2 c. mini chocolate chips near the end of mixing. Yum!

Honey-Oat Pan Rolls

These rolls are wonderful! They are light but hearty tasting and very moist. I make 24 small rolls to serve company and then freeze leftovers in groups of 3 for my man and me to eat later and they still delicious.

PHILADELPHIA Vanilla Mousse Cheesecake

Because of the great reviews, I had to try this recipe for my cheesecake-loving family. We all thought it was delicious. The 2 textures make it unique and special. I followed another's suggestion and put some finely chopped walnuts in the crust which was a nice addition. I served sweetened fresh strawberries on the side.
