Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2005
Got rave reviews from this recipe; my wife absolutely loved it. To me, however, the crust was a little too thick, particularly around the edge of the pan. I realize that's my fault, however, so I'm going to cut back slightly next time I make it.

Spiced Pecans

Wonderful recipe. Had lots of folks asking for it over this holiday season. Unlike others, I didn't think the taste of cloves overpowered the recipe. Will definitely make this again next Christmas!

Garlic Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2003
Cooked this for my wife last week. She said it was as good or better than anything we've had in restaurants while dining out. We really loaded this down with chopped garlic and dill to bring out the flavor of the spices. Served with steamed broccoli and a salad. Wonderful!

Chicken Pot Pie III

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2003
Great recipe. Here are some minor changes we made: used frozen puff pastry dough for the crust so that we could bake in a rectangular casserole dish; used white wine instead of chicken broth; threw in a bit of broccoli cause we like it as well; added 1 tsp. curry powder to season it a bit.

Sirloin Tips and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2002
Excellent recipe! Like others, I thickened the sauce a bit, using a flour/oil roux. Otherwise, we loved every bite. Brought leftovers for lunch today, and someone commented "wow, it smells like REAL food in here." I can think of no higher compliment!
