My favorite things to cook
I love to cook everything BUT I cannot find the {condensed milk version for Fudge..I read "Nigella Lawson's condensed milk version{cookingchannel.c/] but please if I do not get this right by tonight,,don't go to cooksfor engineers the site is a frustrating "cloak&dagger: cryptic,analytical,pretentous,site cannot answer a sinple question,,can somebody like,maybe a genuine thinking person please help?
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sicilian raised w/ the best,Italian sauce & NO! sauce doesn't cook for 12 hrs.also in Marinara sauce there are No Onions!or oregeno however many other ethnic nationalties cook sauce better than the Italians,Sicilain cooking is lighter than Naopolitan all differ of course} but I'll bet even"Giuda DeLaurentis"{Everyday Italian"} doesn't know what I do about Sicilain cooking!,Laura Calder favorites,tv chefs!
My cooking triumphs
All things I make are great but I do not have the time now to tell you all the great pastrami sanwitches I used to make for my botfriend & his friends the toothpick in the braad,was never lazy rather felt good about serving toated the Italian bread{rye is traditional but I used Italian encrusted sessame{toated} the 60's thru the late 70's were the best yrs of my life! nothing was nver much,for me.re:cooking,so,lucky is Bobby Flay's Stephanni who wakes up to find poolside "Brunch At Bobby's" every woman should know how to cook but,it's nice to be served too,My triumph{s}? I prde myself on them all as one must respect & love food,& what it represents,making other's happy is rare[no pun intended!}re:satisafction,of knowing you your guests enjoyed their food,the praise,&ones appreciation is measured by having given the best of yourself!
My cooking tragedies
IT WILL BE a Tradegety if someone doesn't answer this simple question Nigella Lawson cookingchannel.com used 12 ounces of bakers squares chocolate to 24 ounces of sweetened condensed milk BUt I have "8 squares of choc" & "14 ounces of condensed milk" so do I add same am't-vanilla,?same pinch of salt,Same am't butter 2 tblsp butter can I use glass or aluminum lan covered in frudge?like Nigella did 'should I add all the "14 ounces {melt together?} {sweetend]condensed w/ the 8 squares?" of Bakers semi- sweet chocolate? Will 14 ounces of milk be TOo MUCH? cjenn@ptd.net
