Fresh strawberries...Yum!
About this Cook
I am a stay at home mom who home schools. I enjoy cooking, gardening and art/ crafts. When cooking, I like to use ideas from and make them my own. I like being creative with cooking. Everything is trial and error.
My favorite things to cook
I like to make, tomato sauce, meatballs, southern fried chicken, authentic Greek and Italian dishes, cookies, and cakes. Whether decorating or just baking cakes are fun!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have 3 favorite family traditions: one is every Sunday make a big pot of tomato sauce and sit down to a big plate of pasta. The second is family cook offs. We use the idea from iron chef and all make a dish using the same ingredients. Finally, every year at Christmas, we set aside one day to make cookies. We go all day like we were a cookie factory.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I tried to make a cake from scratch it weighed about 2 pounds!

Grilled Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich
This was Elvis's favorite snack. The only difference is he used bacon fat to fry the sandwich in. It is very dry if you don't use some sort of fat on the bread. I suggest a light butter to margarine.

White Chocolate Macadamia Cranberry Dreams
These are sooo good. I made them for Christmas and my family couldn't get enough. Better than plain old chocolate chip cookies.
