Dishpan Cookies IV

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
So, so yummy! One of the best cookies ever to come out of my oven. I will revise my rating to 5 stars when I figure out how to keep them from flattening out. Truly Awesome cooked, but the uncooked batter ROCKED!!!

Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2011
Wow, it was good. Was looking to spice up our usual bland ham and been soup. Followed the basic recipe, making slight changes as per our liking. Made one bath with spicy, hot links instead of bratwurst - made a dramatic difference!!! Also, used an immersion blender at the end just to thicken it a bit!

French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2011
This IS a great soup recipe. The only thing I would change the next time is to use less chicken stock and more beef stock or beef consume. I've never used beef base as another reviewer mentioned, i might ty that as well. It was very good as is but just not beefy enough for our tastes.

Cabbage Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
Very yummy. This sauce is way better than any canned or packet version! We couldn't detect the cabbage at all. My son did detect the celery so next time I will them that out. I had to double the sauce, the stated amount was fine for me but the rest of the family is used to saturated sloppy Joe recipes. Also, I used half ground turkey and half ground beef just for the sake of reducing fat. The adults ate the sandwiches with the buttermilk coleslaw from this site - Wow!

Honey Bun Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2011
Excellent! My DH's favorite cake. More like a sock-it-to-me cake minus the nuts. Before I take it out of the bundt pan I poke holes all over and pour 1/3 of the glaze over the cake. Once absorbed I turn it out onto a platter. I cool the cake completely before I glaze the top so that the glaze doesn't liquify and slide right off. So, so yummy.
