Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2014
Outstanding and the best recipe for rice pudding without having to bake it. We like this with extra raisins and I use a little bit of sugar to cook the rice so the rice comes out a little sweet. I also add cinnamon sticks during the cooking process. The creamiest ever great job Erica G!

Rum or Bourbon Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
SUPER EASY. Great as gifts that everyone will want again next year. I used this recipe as written and it was perfect. Used rum last year but this time I may used a coconut rum I have. Hard not to have a few test tasting balls for quality control. Worth making ahead five days for the full effect.

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
OUTSTANDING. Just like I remembered as a child. Very easy and quick. I used the Hersey's Special Dark coco with three heaping teaspoons and just a little more cornstarch since I like puddings to be firmer. I let the pudding cool off outside on my porch. Next time I will double the recipe for a benefit dinner next week.

David's Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2002
Excellent recipe. Would like to modify by using regular flour, a little less on the sugar and maybe 3 instead of four eggs. Love the texure! real homemade. My husband prefers a moister texure like box cake recipes, but only for yellow cake. The hubby and my Father-in-law enjoy yellow cake with a whipped cream frosting. I love it just as it is!

Carrot Cake XI

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2002
Finally a real Carrot Cake recipe! Just like the one my mother had but lost. My husband prefers a Butter Cream frosting for carrot cake. It tastes better than the traditional cream cheese frosting. I find the best cakes do not need frosting at all! My husband says this is the best carrot cake! Very easy to make with normal ingredients. Don't care for recipes calling for pineapple or can carrots. Another winner!

Banana Cake IX

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2002
Finally! A REAL Banana Cake recipe!! I needed a recipe that did not call for buttermilk since I do not use it in anything else. I also wanted a recipe that did not have any strange ingrediants, preferably without the need for frosting AND a recipe for a 9X13 pan. I narrowed my search to this and for once my banana cake came out perfect!! This is the real thing better than store bought (the whole purpose!). Easy to prepare and only 30 mins! to bake! Most take an hour. VERY light and full of flavor. The cake is about 1 1/2" high. I even registered to allrecipes just so I can rate this recipe! Thanks CAROLINE!
