Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: May 2, 2007
This was excellent. My son almost refused to eat it because he doesn't like pork and he asked for seconds. I only had 4 chops, so I didn't double the gravy, but I did add fresh mushrooms. And the gravy went great with mashed potatoes.

Hot Buttered Rum Batter

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2006
My husband had this at a friend's house. He came home raving about the hot buttered rum he had and had his friend's wife give him the recipe. Well, lo and behold it was this recipe from my favorite website. I have never liked rum, and even I thought it was good. I will also be adding it to my hot tea. It is so sweet, my 5yr old licked the spoon and pot when I was done making it.

Cucumber Sandwiches III

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2006
Excellent recipe! I have made it several times so far. The best thing is that you can change the bread to whatever you want each time you make it.

Party Cucumber Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2005
Very easy to make. I made it for a party and got compliments all night long. If you don't like rye bread, you can also use french bread.

Stuffed Pepperoncini

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2002
These were a great addition to my Christmas lunch! Even the kids ate them. I used some smaller chilis that I had in the refrig, so I had extra filling. I put it in a serving dish and used it as a spread for crackers. Definitely delicious!!

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2002
I was a little skeptical about re-heating cold mashed potatoes, but these were the best mashed potatoes that I've had! I doubled the recipe and added milk, like suggested, for Christmas dinner and it was a huge success. My mom took home the leftovers and my recipe because my father liked them so much.

Lettuce, Avocado and Sunflower Seed Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2002
Great salad. I added sliced tomatoes and red onion to it. And I left the dressing on the side because my daughter would rather put ranch dressing on it. I served this with Chrismas dinner and the entire salad was gone.

Baked Potato Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2002
Excellent dip!!! I served it with Christmas lunch and everyone ate it. If six kids, ages 13 to 1, will eat it, you know it's great. The leftovers, along with the recipe, went home with my mom because she liked it so much.

Open-Faced Broiled Roast Beef Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2002
Very good, quick sandwiches. Easy to prepare - I did everything in the toaster oven! Same comment as below, I changed meats and cheese for which ever the kids wanted.

Beer Butt Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2002
Very juicy chicken! I can say it's a success because my 13, 8, 6, and 1 year old all said it's good!! Check out recipe for "drunken chicken" below. Uses dijon mustard instead of all the butter (alot less fat).

Drunken Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2002
Excellent chicken - very juicy. When my kids - 13, 8 ,6, & 1 years old - all like it, it must be good!! It made everyone laugh when I brought the chicken out to the BBQ. Definitly use a disposable tray or line yours with lots of tin foil. I had to throw mine away because I didn't.
