Pesto Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2012
DELISH! I estimated my quantities and it turned out great! The only thing I modified was a sqeeze of lemon over the pasta after I tossed it together to brighten the basil flavor. I loved it!

Fluffy Cake Doughnuts

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2011
I didnt use shortening, instead I did 2TBSP of melted butter. I thought these tasted like muffins and lacked the right texture/ taste of a classic cake doughnut. Over all this doughnut was just OK for us.

Best Moist Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2011
I followed the advice of using baking powder instead of the baking soda, 8 tbsp of cocoa powder and used 1/4 more milk. I also used 1/2c butter AND 1/2 c oil since thats what I had on hand. First off the texture of this batter is so silky, its just divine. I baked half into cupcakes and the other half into a silicone cake pan. The final product of the cupcakes and the cake is GREAT! Moist, just the right amount of sweetness and texture was just right. I noticed some people said that it was bland but I wonder if they realize that the cake isnt supposed to be sugar loaded- thats the job of the icing. Anyway, I really enjoyed the basis of this recipe and recommend it.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
This was so yummy! Moist, crunchy topping is great and easy! I did make my own changes to make it slightly more healthy. I sub-ed the following: instead of one egg I used 1/4 cup egg beaters, instead of butter I used Smart Start butter which is a 50/50 blend, and I added a splash of vanilla. I also baked in a loaf pan and with all these changes it still turned out really good. thanks!
