All American Apple Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
I thought the taste was pretty good. I was looking for a apple pie to make that only took a bottom crust. I did add a bit more flour to make the topping crumbly and it took a bit longer than the 45 minutes to cook. At first I thought it was not going to be very good as when I cut into it the pie was still warm and the bottom crust was a little soggy. The next morning I looked at it and it was held together nicely and the taste reminded me of the apple pies my grandmother used to make. This is a pie I will make again if I do not have the time to make my own pie crust or if I dont' feel like making it that day. Thanks for the recipe.

Hard Rock Candy

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2004
I had made this when I was a kid, but until a few days ago I hadn't even thought about it. I made peppermint flavor and coconut. Both turned out to be quite tasty. My kids both loved it as well as their teachers. When I made this when I was a kid my granny and I did it the old fashion way without a candy thermometer, but I find it much easier with the candy thermometer. Thanks for the recipe!!!

Puppy Chow

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2004
I made up a batch of this today. It is a little sweet for me but my husband and his co-workers liked it. One of them even asked me for the recipe! I will probably make this again sometime as it was a quick easy snack. Thanks for the recipe.

Banana Split Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2004
I made these a couple nights ago. They were tasty, but they reminded me of banana cake rather than a cookie. I will probably make them again as they were pretty good. They reminded me of banana nut bread only bite size.

Sausage Balls II

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2004
This is almost identical to the recipe ingredients that I use. I make these often and they are a big hit everywhere that I take them. I do use a little more bisquick and a little more cheese and I add a few drops of milk so that the mixture is not too dry.

I have made these several times. I did not care for them too much, but I am not a big "Sweets" person. My husband loves them and requests them quite often. Thanks for the recipe!!!
