Mock Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
Delicious! Easy! Healthy! What more could a person want. I use chap red onion because I love em. Also, Canola Mayo. I've been gradually switching to a Vegitarian diet and finding things to brown bag to work has been a challenge. This is perfect.

Curry Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
Thanks for this Recipe! Totally Awesome Soup! Flavour is perfect. Texture creamy and smooth. I simplified as follows: Recalculated servings to 6; Then substituted: 2 packs of True Lemon Crystalized Lemon for the juice. Didn't have any lemons /lemon juice. (This is a great product, by the way, keeps a long time on the self, all natural, no added anything, just powdered, crystalized lemon, also comes in lime.) 3 cups Low Sodium Chicken Broth for water and bouillon. ( Don't need or want a bunch of salt.) Reduced: Salt to 1/2 tsp. Reduced: Fresh Ground Black Pepper to 1/2 tsp. (Fresh ground is more potent. Didn't want to overwhelm the other flavors. Put everything in a 4 qt Crock Pot on High for 3 hrs. Took imersion blender and blended the whole soup up in the Crock Pot when cooking time was done. Fantastic Texture and Flavour! Thanks so much for this recipe. A definate keeper! Served with BLT's! (I use fake, soy bacon by Gardenburger)

Kheer (Rice Pudding)

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2011
Really wanted to like this recipe. It sounded so good. Way too rich for my liking and also no flavour. If I make it again I'll make it with either regular whole milk or some amount of reduced fat milk and triple the spice. The rose water is a nice touch.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
Way too sweet for corn bread and I cut the sugar to 1/2 cup. It was more like cake. I could have put orange frosting on it and used for a birthday cake.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
I do a bone-in turkey breast. No liver, so I added 1 cup sauteed crimini mushrooms and 1/3 cup walnut pieces. Stuffed the breast cavity of the brined turkey breast and slow roasted in oven. This is fanatastic stuffing!

Honey Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2013
Very Good as is and it is very easy to make compared to traditional Paneer. It is also very versatile. I have made it with lite coconut milk, cardomon, rose water and garnished with Pistaschio nuts to make it even more middle eastern/east Indian-like. A keeper.

Too much dough and pre packaged dough is too salty. Will go back to making dough from scratch.
