About this Cook
I like to experiment in the kitchen. Now that I think about it, I always have!
My favorite things to cook
Mmm... almond cookies. My grandmother and I made these for all holidays and loved to decorate them together. Pies! Pot roast! Stews! Macaroni and cheese! (from scratch)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making almond cookies with grandma. Learning to cook from my grandma.
My cooking triumphs
I make a mean venison stew! Yum! Blueberry pie for dessert, too!
My cooking tragedies
Bread. I just cannot seem to master bread unless it is SUPPOSED to be heavy/dense. My pumpkin bread is pretty good.

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole
This is delicious! Sometimes I will cut the recipe and make it just for me. I use link sausage instead of ground, however and I like it better. Smoky Grillers are an excellent choice, especially the cheddar ones!

Banana Bread VII
So yummy and light! I am sure it would be great on its own, but I cannot leave a recipe alone. :) I modified this one a little using 2c. baking mix (I ran out before getting the final 1/3), I used 1/2c. brown sugar and 1/2c. white sugar, added 2tsp cinnamon, 1tsp nutmeg and 1tsp ground clove. I was so excited to finally find a recipe that didn't require baking soda since I was out and I didn't feel like going to the store. Thanks!

Burly Burger
Add bacon... everything's better with bacon. :)
