Restaurant-Style Coleslaw II

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2012
Oh so good!!!!! Took to a party today and received tons of compliments and a big empty bowl to take home! I used cider vinegar as that is all I had on hand, but other than that, I doubled the recipe and followed it to a tee. PERFECTION! Thanks for submitting, Steph!

Baked Penne

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2012
Very good! Husband REALLY like it. I seasoned the beef a bit....italian seasonings and garlic powderand browned with onions and green peppers, then drained grease before adding sauce. Other than that, followed recipe. After adding mixture to casserole dish, I covered and refrigerated until dinner time. Baked probably 40-45. Fast and delicious and I really like the fact that I can prepare ahead of time.

Beautiful presentation and a major hit at the party! I used 1 tblsp balsamic vinegar, 3 tblsp EVO, and ground pepper, no salt, and left the cherry tomatoes whole. Excellent...thank you for a quick, easy, recipe that made me look soooooooo good!

Donut Muffins

Diane, thank you soooo much!!!! I made them this morning as per the recipe and received RAVE reviews from the ladies. This recipe is spot on perfect....the nutmeg amt is perfect (and really can't be tasted); it made exactly 24, and the baking time was right on.

Berry Sour Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
Excellent. Like others, I had to bake it much longer...almost a full 40 minutes longer. I lightly covered with tin foil the last 20 minutes or so. I halved the glaze and didn't use all of that, but think next time I will.

Chocolate Cherry Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2011
Made this with my 10 yr old chocoholic grand-daughter and she (and the rest of the family) absolutely loved it!!!! It's also good baked in a cookie sheet (if making for a potluck or wanting a thinner cake) and I want to try putting in mini-muffin tins for a bite full of wonderfulness!) We made the frosting listed in this recipe. We thought it was going to be too sweet and considered using less sugar but went with the recipe and it was just perfect! Thank you, Jan, for a moist, easy, cake recipe!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
Very good! I didn't put all of the chili powder in right away...think I started with just a little under 1/4 cup and I only used one tsp of tabasco to start. Figured I go had it in later if it needed more spice. Turned out it didnt...was the perfect amount for our family. I also didn't use the sausage...just because I didn't have any. Used 3# of ground round instead.

Chocolate and Fruit Trifle

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
This was very good. I used brownies...I broke them up and then let them sit uncovered for awhile to harden up a wee bit. I made the pudding mixture early in the am, cut up the fruit and put in in a strainer and then put it all in the fridge for the day. Assembled the trifle about an hour before serving...everyone loved it. There wasn't enough pudding mixture however...next time I would double it.

Mint Chocolate Cookies/Betty Crocker

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
Easy, yummy, and look so as pretty and refreshing in the summer as they do on a Christmas cookie platter. As a side note....I mixed the food coloring in the with egg before adding....better distribution that way and I used 1/4 tsp mint extract....just the right amount of flavor.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Very good! Followed directions almost to a T. Amt of broth used depends on the type of bread cubes you are using and how dry or wet you like your stuffing.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
Two days before pay day and Mother Hubbard's cupboards were bare....except for two chicken breasts, a carton of chicken broth, 1/2 a bag of egg noodles, one can of cream of chix, one can of cream of celery, 1/2 a container of sour cream, a bag of frozen broccoli and a bag of grated cheddar. And it was yummy. Husband raved and it made a ton. I seasoned the chix and boiled in chix broth with a little onion and celery, when chix was done I boiled noodles in the same broth and when noodles were done I boiled the broccoli for a few minutes. (yes, I know...I should have done the last two together) Mixed it all together with lots of cheese, skipped the crackers and served with biscuits. Very fast, easy, and filling.

Absolutely delicious! I halved the recipe, didn't have wine opened so I just used beef broth, otherwise follwed recipe exactly. About an hour later I decided to open a bottle of red and poured a couple of splotches in there. Hubby and I just loved it. Thank you!

Cranberry Sauce Chicken II

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2010
Realizing that we all have different tastes, I'm rating this a 3 because we didn't care for this dish. I followed recipe exactly as written....and found it to have an usual taste. Not a bar-b-que sauce, not a sweet sauce....just kind of an usual taste that none of us liked. I will say that the sauce was good on the rice...just not on the chicken. Sorry for the low review but I am glad we at least tried it and I'm sure many of you will like the taste so don't let my low review scare you away from trying it.

Guam Fried Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
While I don't proclaim to be a " professional chef," we found this recipe to be quite tasty. It absolutely amazes me how rude some people are....and it especially amazes me when they haven't even TRIED the recipe but base their opinions on the picture. Thank you, Christine. My husband and I really enjoyed this quick and tasty dish.
