Smothered Beef Short Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2010
Wasn't a fan of this. The beer was overpowering and the gravy wasn't thick at all. The meat was tender but the overall flavor just didn't cut it.

Cocktail Meatballs IV

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
Grape jelly?? You won't believe it but it's true! Use a spicy brown mustard and equal parts worchestershire sauce and you'll be amazed at how good this recipe really is! Made mine with the Cosco frozen meatballs. Prepared the sauce in a saucepan, put the meatballs in a crockpot, poured the sauce over it and let it go for 4 hrs. SUPER EASY-SUPER FUN and quite TASTY!!

Hot Apple Cider

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
Made this recipe 3 times ,crock pot and stove, and loved it each time (so did my guests). Word to the wise: lessen the syrup to 3/4 of the recipe amount and don't worry if you don't have all the lemon/orange peels because I've used 1/2 everytime and it's been PERFECT. Also, don't fear if you can't find WHOLE allspice berrits because I've used 2 ground all spice shakes per serving and it's been PERFECT!! One more thing if you're using a crock pot take out the spice packet after a 3 hrs. because the it will become bittter. ENJOY - you'll love it!!

Boiled Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
I've made this time and time again as a base for my homemade chicken noodle soup and it's perfect! One reminder though, never bring the water to a boil because it makes the chicken tough. It's important to catch it right before a boil and let it simmer from there. Follow that rule and you'll have the best most tender chicken around!

Best Ever Split Pea

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2005
I made this recipe as a first course with Easter dinner and it was wonderful. I didn't change a thing and kept the recipe as stated. I'm so glad to have found a soup with such wonderful texture and taste. Add a little croutons when it's done and you have one great soup starter. Thanks Robin!

Excellent recipe. I added an extra 1/4 c. carrots and a little salt. The family just loved it and it took away the winter chills! Thanks-it's a keeper!

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2002
Thanks for this delightful summer salad! I used Balsamic vinegar instead and it complimented all the ingredients. In addition, I added salted cashews for a little flair. Wonderful recipe-thank you!!
