Doug thought it was a little sweet, but the rest of us loved it!

Applesauce Bars

Bars were good but thin. Might be better in a 9x9 pan.

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Full of flavor! I accidentally put in crockpot on Low instead of High for 7 hours. Caught it and bumped up to high for last hour 1/2. Was a bit lumpy, but very good. Next time will put on high the whole time.

Ham and Cheese Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2011
I forgot to add the cornflake topping, but I doubt that would have improved it. It was very light and fluffy, which I actually didn't care for. It made it taste like it wasn't baked, which it absolutely was. My recipes that call for toasting the bread first come out more to my liking.

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
I sauteed finely chopped celery and minced garlic into the butter and added a couple handfuls of frozen peas to the mixture. This made a lot, so I put it in my extra deep 9x13 pan.

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
I would make this in an 8x8 pan next time - it was too thin for a 9x13 and the extra milk made it very soupy. I served with diced mango and blackberries.

Very good! I used 1 tsp. minced canned garlic. Could have used a bit more. Great with pita chips!

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
I've made this several times as is, and it's become a "go to" recipe. 4 hours on slow is correct! Great served with Garlic Red Potatoes. Tender and juicy - really really a treat. I also make this as a freezer meal - put the meat and sauce into a ziplock, freeze, thaw and dump into slow cooker. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Potato, Broccoli and Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
Followed BBFITZ's advice and only used 1 cup chopped onion, 1 lb. frozen broccoli (cooked in microwave) and chicken stock in place of water/bouillon. Hubby had FOUR bowls full. I think it's a keeper...

Danish Pastry Apple Bars II

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
I made this exactly as written except about 1 1/2 tsp Pampered Chef Cinnamon Plus instead of 2 tsp cinnamon. The almond flavor of the glaze was great! I used my Kitchen Aid to do most of the mixing and kneading of the dough, which worked out great.

Do NOT double the topping - the recipe makes plenty. I did not add water, as my apples had plenty of juice after slicing. Very yummy!

Mini Meatball Subs

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
These were surprisingly good! I found one recipe made about 15 meatballs. We used hoagie buns and put 3-4 balls per sandwich. I also cut the amount of green pepper in half, as they were getting a little "chunky". Also, we only used about 1/4 the amount of sauce.
