Orange Honey Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
I pan fried this great recipe. Fried thighs and strips until slightly browned on both sides. Then let it simmer in the sauce turning several times. Added more fresh squeezed orange juice. A little too salty, I didn't measure the soy. Next time I will double the sauce and taste test the soy before doubling it. I loved the flavor.

Oatmeal and Wheat Flour Blueberry Pancakes

These are great! I make 1/2 a recipe for the 2 of us: I use regular milk for the soy, 2 eggs, and double the berries (huckleberries).

Quick Yeast Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2013
These are so yummy, I ate 3 right out of the oven and wanted more! I used butter instead of shortening and dropped them by spoonfuls into a greased 8" x 12" pan. Mine baked 12 minutes. FAST, FLUFFY, DELICIOUS and EASY. I will be making these often since my bread machine broke. Thank you!

Blueberry Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2012
10 star muffin! Rose perfectly, tastes wonderful, looks fantastic, fluffy and moist! AS suggested: used 1/2 cup sugar in mix, brown sugar and 1/4 cup nuts in the streusel. Used the larger muffin cup size and got 6 big ones and 4 regular/cup cake size. I tried the "To Die For" on this site and they never rose. I will be using THIS recipe often...Thanks!

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2011
I seldom make pies. This crust was wonderful. I used part butter/butter flavored shortening. Made a double recipe. Flaky and tender. No need to try a different recipe.

Best Ever Popcorn Balls

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
Great and easy! My corn syrup was old and so were the marshmallows (not hard). So I made 1/2 a recipe. Following other tips this is what I did for 1/2 recipe: added vanilla (instead of water), salt and used 1 cup powdered sugar. Simmered mixture 2 minutes after it came to a boil. Spooned it into a 12 cup sprayed muffin tin. Sprayed my hands once and formed into balls (next time I will make 10). No problems! Tastes great too!

Blueberry Scones

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2011
My dh loves blueberries but to me they are just good. I really enjoyed them in this recipe and will make it again! I used frozen berries and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. You can grate the cold butter which makes it easier to cut into the flour. Yes the dough was sticky so next time I won't use all of the cream unless needed. I put half the dough on a floured counter, sprinkled flour on top and on my hands (tried to use only one hand). Tried to knead it but it was difficult. The other 1/2 I put on a floured cookie sheet and that was easier. Made 6" circles, didn't cut, spread a spoonful of milk on top then sprinkled on sugar. DH said they were not sweet and I said they are not supposed to be. They were just right. Soft, tender, light, tastey... If you need more sweet you can drizzle a glaze on them.

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2011
GREAT! I have been wanting to make these for a long time, glad I did today! I removed 2 1/4 cups liquid too much and the beans were still a litle runny. Forgot the jalapeno. Used some onion/garlic salt, reduced total salt amount. Added 1 tsp chicken bouillon. Used more cumin. Next time I think I will add another cup of beans. Oh, and I used less pepper. Im going to heat them tomorrow to go with Lime Chicken Soft Tacos and Mexican Rice II. Also I used only 1 tsp pepper and my dh said beans were too peppery. I didn't.

BBQ Chicken Calzones

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2011
I used crescent roll dough and had a hard time getting it shaped right. It stuck to the card board and the end of it was dark. I never buy crescent roll dough. Next time I will use the pizza dough or make dough from scratch. I used bacon but will leave it out next time. These tasted great. My dh liked the crescent crust.

Fabulous Wet Burritos

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2013
WE loved these! I used ground elk, home canned salsa for the tomato soup, and 15oz. enchilada sauce. I put a handful of cheese on top of the meat before rolling up. Placed them into a 9x13 greased pan, poured the sauce mixture on top to cover completely, then sprinkled with some cheese. I baked them about 20 minutes. We like lettuce, tomato and avocado on top of ours.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2013
I made this into mini pizzas yesterday. I used onion salt and olive oil. Kneaded dough for only 5 minutes. I divided the ball in half and put one ball into an oil sprayed gallon bag. The other ball made 4 mini pizzas, prebaked for 4 or 5 minutes, topped and baked 8-10 minutes. Today I made 1 more mini pizza to see how the dough was. It was softer after baked. I let it set out to rise until puffy. Tomorrow the others will be baked. This recipe is easy, fast and fun...delicious, thank you!

Gourmet Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
As for ease, flavor, and presentation, this deserves 5 stars. As for crust, 3 stars. I am used to homemade. I added granulated garlic and bacon. I will make this often but will use a different crust. I baked it less time. I spread dough onto a cookie sheet, prebaked 5 minutes, then slid it off after baked, to cut. 5 stars anyway cuz its a great recipe! I'm gonna eat some more.....update: I just made this with homemade crust last week and again this week! wonderful flavor!!!

Pumpkin Rolls I

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2011
I have made these as few as 16 rolls and as many as 200 at a time, several times. The recipe is excellent as written. The pumpkin is for color and nutrition. I've made them with part whole wheat flour and/or part bread flour also. I've used fresh or canned pumpkin. Half a recipe fits in my bread machine and will make the 16 rolls. I don't spread the circles with butter but do butter the tops. FUN to make and a FANTASIC recipe! Thank you!
