Basic Cheesecake

I've tried to make this cake twice, and both times it collapsed. It tasted good, though, and I'll be keeping the recipe for the crust even if I am throwing away the recipe for the actual cake.

Scrumptious Strawberry Shortcake

My dad says that this is just like his mother used to make for him when they lived in the south. Genuine thick, dense strawberry shortcake. Absolutely delicious. I don't know if I'll use the cream of tartar next time I make it; it did add a bit of an aftertaste. Not unpleasant, just unconventional. Still, the best shortcake I've had since I was in Maryland. Bravo!

Scones

I found these scones incredibly easy to make. I added quarter of a cup of shredded cheddar cheese and an eighth of a cup shredded red bell pepper and made savory dinner scones. They were light, flaky, and rose beautifully. More significantly, three people ate the whole plate of them that night!
