Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

I was looking for something quick and delicious and this recipe sounded interesting. The only thing I did differently was add a little onion which I sauted , next time I will add something to make it a little thicker. My husband and I enjoyed this very much. I will make it again.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

this was great!! Only change I did was add garlic (like some suggested) and a little fresh ginger.I don't eat pork so we didn't do the bacon thing.Besides the chicken we marinated scallops. Everything was awesome and well liked by my whole family.THANKS

Buttery Soft Pretzels

I was worried when I first saw the dough but after the rise it was so soft! What lovely dough it made..The taste is awesome.. I didn't know how hot the water should be so I made them like I would a bagel. I dipped them in very hot water and left them in the water for about 20 seconds.( no problem there) The smell in the oven as they baked was exactly like a mall pretzel. The taste was delicious BUT the bottom of the pretzel tasted like soda.I'm gving it 5 stars because I believe it was my fault. Next time I will half the dough and experiment with a shorter dip and with the other half use less soda.Thanks for the recipe!It's a keeper

Broiled Lobster Tails

This was very good but I did have to broil it longer than 10 minutes. I also followed someones advise and put a pan of water under the lobster tails. I sprinkled it with a little garlic powder and also basted it with butter a couple times while broiling it. It was very moist and delicious.

100 Percent Whole Wheat Bread

Homemade Vanilla Extract

I use Martha Stewarts recipe which calls for 1 cup at a time. Her recipe is 1 c. good vodka to 2 split vanilla beans and let it set for 3 months. I have 4 c. of it made now for Christmas gifts.

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

I've been trying to duplicate the penne rosa recipe from Noodles and Company chain. This looked similar to there ingredients and I followed the recipe exactly.It wasn't quite what I wanted but a good base for future attempts. Next time I will puree it like several suggested and it was lacking a little kick to me.
