I can finally make biscuits!!! So easy to put together and they come out light, fluffy and delicious. Thanks JP!! I did use butter because we don't keep shortening on hand at my house....worked just fine!!

Soft Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
Used this recipe since 2002 when I came across it. Love it! I do use butter in place of margarine. Also if you have one, a baking stone bakes them nicer than a metal sheet. Kids look forward to Christmas cut outs every year!

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2013
These were very good. I would definitely eat them cold from the fridge, better cold than warm. I might add some allspice, or nutmeg next time. My kids really enjoyed them also, asked for more. I like the cakey texture.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2013
I'm not a pancake person. Like them but don't love them. Today was my daughters 6th bday so I filled a request and tried this recipe.....I loved it! Still more of a French toast person but these were perfect ! I did use 2 tsp of lemon juice instead of 1/4 cup vinegar. Great taste and texture ;) A hit with all! Printing this one for future use, thank you!

Beef Tips

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
Pretty good but I found the soy sauce to be very overwhelming for the dish. I think I might replace it with beef broth next time. It was very salty for me and my husband and I even left out the salt it called for.

Chunky Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
Excellent soup! My only changes were 2, 14oz cans of broth, 1/4 cup heavy cream, +2xtra TBsp butter & flour and more of the veggies. Also I didnt do the swiss cheese. Have been looking for a hearty, thick & creamy but not too thick soup that was close to something I made for my grandfather as a teenager, this is awesome, thanks for sharing it!

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2010
My second attempt at waffles. This recipe was very good, much better than the first I made. I added 5TBSP of sugar and more vanilla (I add extra vanilla to everything). The whole family was very happy with this waffle.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
My sister made this and Im here to get the recipe for myself. Very good recipe, just about the best Ive ever had. Oct.28, I originally rated this on the 16th after having it. I have just made it myself and want to say that iit is so easy to make and I like it even more having made it myself. I do beat the eggs in recipes until they are very fluffy to help make the cake or bread fluffier and used a bit more banana. I also DO NOT PREHEAT my oven, Ive found you get a better rise out of a cold oven. Also, can I just say for the fellow eternal 5yr. olds....this batter is delicious to scrape from the bowl! I think what else makes this recipe so great is that its very versitile, you can add just about anything to it to jazz it up, but I prefer it as is! Great recipe!
