Milk Braised Pork Loin

This is the 1st time I have done a review for this site. It was delicious. I added egg noodles to the gravy(after removing the pork loin) and let the mixture simmer 15 minutes. I did need to add additional milk. I let the milk gravy reduce again and then thicken it with corn starch/water.(I like my gravy thick) I used very little salt. I added a few drops of Tabasco Sauce to the gravy while it was simmering. I will make this again.

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

OMG, these are going to be my favorite cookie. Delicious. They are 1000x's better than what I have bought at a store before. Very easy to make. I did use some of the suggestions that I read on the reviews. 1--wet my hands while shaping the dough onto the cookie sheet. 2-- finely chopped the nuts. 3--brushed the log with egg. 4--wrapped the log in 2 towels to cool for 10 minutes before cutting into strips. I had to add about an extra TBL of flour (maybe because of damp weather) to the mixture. I did not have parchment paper, so used a silicone sheet. After cutting the log into strips and cooking them additional 10 minutes, I flipped the strips over and left them in the oven(turned off) for an additional 5 minutes. I definitely will make these again.

German Potato Salad

We loved this recipe. I followed the instructions except that I sweated the onions in the bacon grease and then pushed them to the side of the skillet while I cooked the flour, sugar, vinegar. The next day I used a little butter(let it melt) and added the left over German potato salad. I heated about 10 minutes and then flipped the potatoes and heated another 10 minutes. I did not cover the potatoes while heating. It was delicious.
