World's Best Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
I followed the recipe exactly and the fudge turned out beautifully. I don't say that lightly because I can NEVER make good fudge. I can't wait for my husband to come home from work. He'll be really surprised! I've never seen another recipe that added flour and I was afraid I would be able to taste it but the fudge is very good.

Perfect Baked Potato

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2006
Absolutely the best baked potato ever. This is the only way I make them now. Just like in the expensive restaurants and so yummy.

Lemon Horseradish New Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2006
These were really good. I followed the recipe exactly and they were wonderful. I fried the extras the next morning for breakfast and they were good that way too. We liked the flavor of the horseradish in them. Thanks for a good recipe.

The Works Steak Burger

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2006
I made these for dinner and added chopped onion to the burger (like several others had suggested). We thought these were juicy and delicious -- not bland like most burgers. We'll have these over and over.

Eggnog Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
We really enjoyed these pancakes for our "day after Christmas" breakfast. As written the batter was thicker than I prefer so I adjusted the recipe by adding an extra egg, rum extract, nutmeg, and 1/2 cup more eggnog. Just add more eggnog until it is the desired thickness. They came out perfect.

Excellent just as it is written. Our family enjoyed this on Christmas Eve. I wouldn't change a thing!

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
I made two pans of this dessert for Christmas Eve. One for our home and one for husband's work. Both were big hits. The dish came home from work completely empty. I made one with sugar-free jello and low-fat cream cheese. You couldn't tell any difference in the taste. I'll be making this again.

Easy Herb Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2005
Oh my gosh I'd give this more stars if possible. My family raved that this was the best turkey I've ever made. It smelled so good we could hardly wait to eat it. I followed the recipe exactly then put my 20 lb. turkey into a cooking bag and it was done perfectly and so moist after 3 1/2 hours. Oh the gravy! It didn't need any extra seasonings added. This is the best recipe and I will be using it many more times!

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2005
In my opinion, nothing in this recipe needs changed. It is moist, sweet, and delicious. Those thinking it is too sweet may not realize the difference between regular cornbread and Mexican corn cakes. Thanks for a great recipe. It was excellent served with the Southwest Stew from this website.

Southwest Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2005
I followed the directions to this recipe with the exception of using black beans. This was a delicious stew. The flavors worked well together especially after simmering in the crock pot all day. I served this with the Absolute Mexican Cornbread from this website. My husband LOVED it.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2005
Excellent meatloaf recipe. I was so tired of my usual recipe with the sauce on top and was just looking for a down-home meatloaf. This fit the bill for us. I followed the receipe exactly as written with no problems.

Amish Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2005
Great recipe. The only changes/additions I made were adding a handful of shredded cheddar cheese before mixing and using homemade chili sauce instead of the ketchup and brown sugar. The topping is a must because it MAKES the meatloaf.

Salsa II

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2005
I was using up end of the garden items so I had a mixture of plum and regular tomatoes. I also used hot banana peppers instead of jalepenos. I followed everything else exactly and ended up with a medium/hot salsa that is a big hit at our house. I'll be making more today to can. The food processor is a great time saver from hand chopping all the peppers and onions. Thanks for a great recipe.

THE Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2005
Very good. I didn't have any swiss so I used shredded cheddar cheese instead. I also added an extra teaspoon of hot sauce for more flavor.

Strawberry Cobbler I

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2005
I thought this would be a good way to use up some extra strawberries since we like cobblers. However, I just don't care for the cooked strawberries. They seem to be too mushy for me. I threw away the leftovers. Guess I'll stick to strawberry preserves and pies from now on.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2005
I was disappointed with these muffins. My crumb topping fell into the middle of the muffins. The overall taste of the muffins was good but I couldn't have served them to guests because of the way they looked.

Baked Fresh Cherry Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2005
I used this recipe with freshly picked sour cherries from our tree. I made 3 pies to take to a church picnic. Everyone was going around the tables asking who made the delicious cherry pies and they were shocked when it was me! They were the hit of the picnic.

Blue Cheese Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2005
This recipe was a nice change of pace. I wouldn't make it very often because I'm not a huge blue cheese fan but we enjoyed it as an alternative to a plain old burger.

Zucchini Bread VII

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2005
The only change I made was to throw in a handful of raisins and a bit of cinnamon. This was the best zucchini bread. I made one large loaf and a pan of the individual loaves. They baked for about 30 minutes and were done perfectly. This will be the recipe I use from now on. Thanks.
