Before making this cake, I read the article regarding making pound cakes. The advice was helpful to me. I sifted the dry ingredients together. I creamed the sugar, butter, & cream cheese for about 7 minutes before adding the eggs. I beat well after each egg was added. After pouring the batter in the tube pan, I tapped it against the counter top to remove any air bubbles. This produced an excellent pound cake that had a crunchy exterior and a velvety interior.
