Lime Fluff

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2004
Made this for a church picnic and followed the directions exactly. It was very good and would be good with about any flavor of Jell-o. I will try orange next.

Very good recipe. We enjoyed these cookies a lot and will make them again.

Cornell Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2004
Great recipe. I marinated this for about 8 hours and the next time I will marinate even longer for a stronger flavor. When our guests arrived they could hardly wait to eat because they could smell the chicken as soon as they got out of their car. Everyone enjoyed it.

Spicy Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2004
I used mixed brands of fresh lettuce from our garden and skipped the mushrooms. I also toasted my pecans before adding them to this salad. It was positively the BEST salad we've ever eaten. It was like something we'd have ordered in a fancy restaurant. Very impressive! The dressing was a wonderful compliment to the berries & salad.

Kabobs

Reviewed: May 24, 2004
This is the best! I used a homemade teriyaki sauce from this website and added the honey, ginger, & garlic powder to it. It made the best chicken and tenderest steak. I'm planning to try this with shrimp tomorrow. I also wrapped each chicken piece with 1/2 slice of bacon and cooked the kabobs very slowly on the grill. YUMMY with rice.

Roast Potatoes

Reviewed: May 16, 2004
These roasted potatoes were delicious. I cut them into bite-sized pieces and had no problem getting them done perfectly. We love the taste of rosemary. I also added some garlic powder and Italian seasoning. I sent the leftovers to our son at college and he gave them rave reviews as well.

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: May 16, 2004
I've tried several other alfredo recipes in the past but this one was by far the best. It was rich and delicious -- just like at an expensive restaurant.

BBQ Dry Rub

Reviewed: May 16, 2004
Who knew? I've never before used a dry rub but thought I'd take a chance. My grilled chops always turn out dry & flavorless but not today! This was so easy and left my chops juicy and delicious. I always thought you had to add lots & lots of BBQ sauce but there was absolutely no need with this rub. We'll be having this again and again and again. Thanks.

Blackberry BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: May 10, 2004
We enjoyed this BBQ sauce very much. I added some hot sauce to this for extra flavor. We used it on bone-in chicken breasts. I brushed them with oil, sprinkled Season All on them, and grilled them for 40 minutes. Then the last 10 minutes of cooking I brushed on the sauce. Yummy!

No Bakes

Reviewed: May 7, 2004
I have tried for 26 years of marriage to make no bake cookies and failed every time. They were either so soft we ate them with a spoon or so hard they could be used as doorstops. This is the first recipe that has worked perfectly for me. The secret must be in bringing it to a slow boil. I followed the recipe to the letter and they were great. Thank you for this recipe.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs II

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2004
These meatballs were great and the sauce was perfect. I used 1 1/2 lbs. of ground beef, 2 eggs and the other ingredients as listed in the recipe. I baked them at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, turning once. Then I added the sauce and baked them for another 30 minutes. They were tender and delicious.

Carrots Au Gratin

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2004
There isn't much you could do to a carrot that our family wouldn't like. This is a wonderful change of pace. The taste of the sauteed onions is great in the sauce. We'll have this again often.

Mandarin Almond Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2004
We tried this recipe for dinner this evening and it was a real hit. The sugared almonds are a wonderful compliment to the dressing. I didn't have red leaf lettuce so I used iceberg instead. I also added some chopped green peppers & celery which just gave the salad more crunch. We'll have this again soon.

Coconut Macaroons from Eagle Brand®

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2004
These were okay but not a hit at my house. I'm still looking for that perfect macaroon recipe and this just wasn't it. They did look pretty though because I sprinkled green sugar on top of them.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2004
Great cookies. I hesitated making this kind because they usually call for a special pan which I don't have. We actually liked these better than the ones made in the "special" pan because they weren't as thick a cookie. They were the first to go at our house over the holidays.

Red Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2004
Excellent. I followed this recipe exactly as written. It made my Mexican night all the better because my enchilada recipe called for a packet of enchilada mix instead of the homemade kind. I will be using this recipe again and again.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2003
I've always made good lasagna but this is the best recipe I've ever tried. The sauce is awesome -- not too sweet, not too tart. I used my home canned chunky spaghetti sauce instead of the crushed tomatoes. This was a real hit at our house.

Apple Strudel Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2003
These muffins were fabulous. I used golden delicious apples and followed the recipe exactly. They turned out huge, moist muffins with a crunchy topping. Perfect with that morning cup of coffee. I took some to my college student son and he loved them too. Thanks for a great recipe.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2003
My husband asked me to make Snickerdoodles this evening. He was extremely pleased with the results from this recipe. I'll be making these again for the holidays. I followed the recipe exactly and chilled the dough for about 15 minutes before baking. They baked 10 minutes in my convection oven and came out perfectly with crunchy edges and chewy centers.
