Melt In Your Mouth Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2005
I followed this recipe exactly and then popped the dough in my cookie press. I took the advice of another reviewer and used the shapes that were more open because the cookies do spread. I made really cute butterflies, flowers, and cookies with a perfect opening in the center to hold a Hershey's kiss. The cookies are crunchy and delicious. I used honey roast peanut butter. I also only needed to bake them for 7-8 minutes. I'll be making these again!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2005
This recipe is great. It tastes like the baked ziti at my favorite local Italian restaurant. I used homemade sauce and a mixture of sour cream and ricotta cheese. My family will be enjoying this again.

Southern Sweet Potato Bread with Pecans

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2005
Very good sweet bread. It is very similar to pumpkin bread and my husband kept asking if it was really made with sweet potatoes. The only changes I made to the recipe was the addition of chopped dates along with the raisins.

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2005
This was really a hit at our New Year's Eve party. The chocoholics really liked it. I doubled the recipe to serve a crowd and even the leftovers were yummy the next day.

Awesome Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2005
This is the real stuff; delicious homemade soup. Don't skip on the lemon grass. It is a little expensive but worth the addition. Every year I'm asked to make this soup for our church "Souper Bowl" dinner. It is always a hit!

Marshmallow and Lime Gelatin Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2005
We really enjoyed this light & creamy dessert. I used sugar free jello and also melted my marshmallows in Fresca. I also used light cool whip & cream cheese. It still turned out wonderfully delicious. I will make this again.

Dill Dip III

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2005
I think this is the best dip I've ever made. It was so easy and did taste even better the 2nd day. It is especially great for dipping veggies. I'll be making this over and over.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2005
This recipe was a real hit with the guests at our New Year's Eve party. I followed the directions exactly and then added a container of blue cheese to everything. If you think it is too spicy, just add more ranch dressing.

Cream Cheese Spritz

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2004
I got a Pampered Chef cookie press this summer and tried the recipe included. The dough did not work well in my press. Immediately I found this recipe and decided to try it for Christmas. I made a double turn following the recipe exactly. I used the butter flavored shortening. These cookies were easy to make and the dough was perfect for my cookie press. They are a melt in the mouth confection. Thanks for a great recipe that I will use over and over.

Apple Enchilada Dessert

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2004
This was a quick and easy way to make a pastry dessert. I made both cherry and apple. I followed other suggestions and used about 1/3 cup of water. The solution ended up being just like the sauce on the apple dumplings made at our church. YUMMY! We served these warmed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2004
This recipe was very good. I used strawberry pie filling instead of the cherry. I also did as the previous reviewer suggested and added the sweetened milk & whipped topping as needed last so it wasn't too soupy. I did notice that the leftovers become too liquidy by the next day so don't make more than you can eat in one meal. I also added drained mandarin oranges and a sliced banana to this recipe.

Zucchini Chocolate Orange Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2004
This is an extremely moist chocolate cake. No one would ever suspect there is zucchini in it. It is by far the best chocolate zucchini cake recipe that I've ever tried. I would like there to be a little more orange flavor so the next time I'll add 1/2 cup of OJ instead of 1/2 cup of milk.

Baked Honey Nut Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2004
This was a great recipe. It reminded me of a pecan encrusted chicken that I had in a fancy restaurant on vacation. We'll have this when we have guests. My husband thinks I'm a gourmet cook when I make things like this. I baked the chicken about 60 minutes (large pieces) and the outside was crispy while the inside was moist.

Chocolate Zucchini Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2004
Excellent way to use extra zucchini from the garden. No one would ever know these cookies contain zucchini. I added white chips and walnuts to the dough. They turned out moist and delicious. I'll be making them again soon. They would also be good with peanut butter chips.

Amish Potato Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2004
Thanks for a delicious recipe. I've made a different cooked dressing for years and this one is much creamier. I added salt & celery seed to my own taste since an amount wasn't listed. I also added green pepper & olives (personal preference). This dressing would also be great for cole slaw & macaroni salad.

Snappy Green Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2004
Excellent! The only thing I did differently was to add some slivered almonds to the mix. I also used fresh beans out of our garden. I'm making it again tonight and skipping the bacon. Although it was good I don't think the beans needed them. I'm going to saute the onions in a little margarine and use seasoned salt for flavoring. I'll still add in the almonds because the extra crunch is great. Such a nice alternative to boring boiled beans.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2004
I've been trying different zucchini bread recipes for years but this one is the best I've ever tried. Basic, simple zucchini bread that it moist and delicious. I added a handful of raisins to the batter. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly as written. I'll be making more of this to put in the freezer for unexpected guests.

Lemon Blueberry Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2004
I had some extra blueberries on hand and followed this recipe exactly as written. The only problem that I had was that a little of the bread stuck in the bottom of my pan. It didn't matter though, we ate it anyway and liked it very much.

Johnny's Spice Rub

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2004
This was good but not great in my opinion. My husband liked it better than I did. We used it on New York Strip steaks. I will keep looking for that "special" rub recipe.
