Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2007
Easy and different than my usual cookie fare. I used 1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar...but I must have packed my brown too well as when I went to push the kisses in, the cookies cracked all around it, although they cooled in one piece, I didn't like the look. I used raspberry and orange flavored kisses which gave them an extra flavor boost. Not crazy about the texture/flavor of the cookie itself but still tres edible.

Pan Cream Puff

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2007
I just had this last night....and I must say it was tres delish! I WILL say to use butter rather than margerine tho...and we skipped the chocolate and nuts. French Vanilla pudding is yummier than plain too! You can use sugar free and it's still awesome! Altogether a very nice little dessert that's versatile and not too sweet.

The perfect amount! I modified slightly by adding only 1/2 c sour cream and a cup of cool whip.

Balsamic Glazed Carrots

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2007
You MUST boil the carrots first! I boiled them then added them to the sauce. Hubby & I liked it...kids were 'ehh' about them. My balsamic was strong so I needed more brown sugar and butter. Play that one by taste as another reviewer mentioned.

A Different Carrot Raisin Salad

I made this awhile back and forgot to review. It was a huge hit at the Bar-B-Q I brought it to. A good take-along dish that not everybody shows up with! Thanks!

Penne and Vodka Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2007
This is a VERY, Very good sauce 'beginning', I only gave 4 stars because I wasn't liking the color, so next time I'll bump up the cream a bit. I used smoked bacon(1/2 lb) because we like it....and added the suggested garlic and onion from other reviewers. I also added 3 cut-up boneless chicken thighs that I stewed first in heavy italian seasonings. I had to thin it down a tad with milk, as it was sooo thick, but BOY WAS IT TASTY!! Thank you for the inspiration!

A bit bland. Probably a good base recipe that needs a little tweaking.

Tasty! I left out the rice and served it over medium egg noodles. Used flour instead of cornstarch. Nice change from my usual fare. Thanx!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
Everyone liked this at our house. I even ate a bit, though I am not a meatloaf lover....and it was tasty. My only problem with it, was that the "sauce" didn't really become a "sauce". Oddly enough, the ketchup just sort of floated in globs within the sweet grease, lol. But I'd make it again and just drain it off like I did this time. Thanks!

Snow Flakes

BEAUTIFUL! This was my first attempt at spritz cookies with my new Villaware power cookie press....OMG! They are PERFECT! Thank you soooo much for the awesome recipe. I've always wanted to make spritz cookies, but everyone's I've ever tried tasted so blah-ho-hum to me. This recipe went thru the press like buttahh....heehee. EASY EASY EASY! I used butter instead of shortening and only put a dash of cinnamon in. Can't wait to make pink heart cookies for Valentines Day!
