About this Cook
Things I enjoy: My God, My wonderful husband & amazing 3 kids (g,g,b), Scuba diving, photography, writing/reading, cooking/baking, inventing, & art
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking/trying a wide variety of foods. Different ethnic foods intrigue me and my family (of 5) is happy to oblige my curiosity.
My cooking triumphs
A delicious and beautiful coconut cake for my daughter's sweet 16th.
My cooking tragedies
Many moons ago I attempted to make chile rellenos (one of my hubby's favs) Tho I use pablanos, and removed pith and seeds, they were WAY too hot too eat. I had stuffed them with a chicken & cheese mixture which was delicious and tolerable (once removed from pepper). My husband who loves things with heat preceded to eat the dish I had prepared. I urged him not to as his eyes began to water and his brow began to sweat. He ate it anyway. I'll just say he regretted it later and I scored a few "listen to your wife" points. :0)

The Way to a Man's Heart
*FABULOUS* Recipe! I only added 1/2 tsp Old Bay Seasoning and used tilapia filets. I also used canned LUMP crab meat as the fresh crab was too expensive. (Be sure to rinse well with water first if you use the canned variety.) I think you could use just about any seafood combo and this would be delicious!

Chicken Tikka Masala
*WOW* This is a great Indian dish, full of flavor! Worth the little bit of work! Changes: I cut back the cayenne as I was making it for my kids as well. Sautéed chicken, in olive oil, as pieces rather than skewer. Saved marinade and added for extra sauce. (be sure to bring to boil!) Thanks for a wonderful addition to my recipe box!
