Peanut Butter Pumpkin Bread

Great recipe, a few changes just as preference: used OJ instead of water, 1/2 brown & 1/2 raw sugar, used crunchy PB and mixed both craisins & chocolate chips into dry ingredients, sprinkled tops w/ raw sugar before baking for bakery type effect....delicious!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

I usually make Bisquick pancakes b/c I love to eat them and hadn't found a scratch recipe that was worth the effort. Until now...I added a splash of vanilla and some chocolate chips---YUMM-O!

Valentino's Pizza Crust

I was skeptical of the short resting time b/c ingredients are the same as a Williams-Sonoma recipe, so I placed a piece of plastic wrap over bowl for the 10 min, I too used my stand mixer w/ dough hook for great results, added in some Italian seasoning w/ flour, I put on rack closer to the top and need to keep in the middle of the oven so bottom of the crust crisps at the same time as cheese browns, this will be my weekly pizza crust recipe - Thanks!

Holiday Chicken Salad

Awesome with a few minor changes. Apples substituted for peppers and red grapes for the craisins. Used 8 green onions, just the white part. Used 1 chix boob and 1 large can of chix. So close to Arby's chix salad, my favorite, that I now will make this at home instead of going out.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

I am in the process of baking these off and needed to write a few notes of the changes I made. I used (same amounts)cake flour instead of AP and butter flavored Crisco instead of butter. I added about 1/4C finely chopped pecans (will increase this next time) and chilled the dough overnight (even for 1 hour is fine). I used a medium PC scoop so each cookie was uniform in size (even baking) and the result was a delicate cookie with a great banana & chocolate flavor. My new favorite way to use up 2 very ripe bananas for my cookie monster family.

Pistachio Cream Cheese Fingers

Good cookies overall. I added 1/2c chopped pistachio nuts to increase flavor and this made dough easily shapable w/o any refrigeration. Increased baking time to 15 minutes. Can't use pastry bag when using nuts b/c tip will plug up, voice of experience :-(

Amish Friendship Chocolate Bread

This was my 1st experience w/ the Friendship Bread starter and this is a great recipe. Not quite chocolaty enough for me so will add cocoa next time. I did add craisins & chocolate chips and they were nicely distributed through out instead of sinking to the bottom. Overall 4.5 ****

Gingersnap Pear Tart

I took this to a SS pot luck and was told I wasnt allowed to attend another function w/o bringing it. Changes: for crust 1.5C gingersnap crumbs + .5C crushed pecans & 1 stick melted butter, layed the sliced (very ripe) pears on the cream cheese layer then liberally used Pampered Chef Sweet Caramel Sprinkle on the pears. Heavenly was another comment used to describe this treat.

Hearty Ham Casserole

I used macaroni instead of potatoes and mixed cheddar cheese into the white sauce instead of Velveeta.I also added garlic to the onions sauted in butter.I put crushed up potato chips on the top. It was good but not great.

Chicken Cheese Chowder

This is a great, hearty chowder. A slight adjustment I made was to cook the onion in the melted butter (no margarine :-() until soft before adding the flour. I also added 2 C frozen corn before adding the roux to the veggies.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

This was awesome crust and I plan to use only this recipe in the future. I added Italian seasoning to the oil coated bowl, b/c I forgot to add it to the flour before mixing, and it worked out great. I baked it in a Pampered Chef large bar pan and it was perfect.

Tenderloin with Cherry Sauce

I used 3 thick pork chops instead of the tenderloin and it worked very well. The cook time was longer, but the meat remained very moist. I also doubled the sauce recipe to serve it over the accompanying rice.

Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

This is so good and I followed it almost exactly. I did use a whole can (8oz) of tomato sauce because I like a saucy dish. I also used Panko bread crumbs, as previously suggested, and loved the chicken. It also reheats well as leftovers. Awesome-thanks for sharing!

Caramel Frosting V

this was a strange recipe but produced awesome results on a banana bundt cake I was in a hurry, so to cool the mixture quickly, I put it in a cold ss bowl and into the freezer and mixed after 10 minutes w/ the ss bowl in an ice bath--beautiful results and will use again

Irish Cream Bundt Cake
