About this Cook
I have never been any good at cooking, and up until a few years ago, I actually hated it. Not only can I not cook, but I am also a huge klutz, which is just a terrible thing to be in a kitchen. So since I refused any cooking advice all those years, I am now trying to learn the basics and find some quick&easy things to cook for my husband and I. Thank goodness he is not a picky eater at all, and neither am I. We pretty much love everything, and will try anything at least once. Our favorite foods are steak, seafood, and any kind of pasta dish. My least favorite food ever= Lima beans.
My favorite things to cook
Lasagna, Homemade Mac n' Cheese
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our Thanksgiving Menu
My cooking tragedies
Anytime the food ends up on the floor, or someone gets burned.

No-Fail Chocolate Chip Cookies
These came out perfectly for someone who can't quite get the hang of baking (especially cookies), so this is definitely a well named recipe, No-Fail. Will be using this one again and again!

Hot German Potato Salad III
Made this by following the recipe exactly, except I ended up adding extra bacon for good measure, and used only 7 out of the 9 potatoes I cooked. I was afraid it wouldn't be saucy enough. It really just depends on the size of the potatoes, but Germans like it saucy. I'm not german, but live in Germany and my friend whose family is from Austria said it tasted just like the potato salad they always make. Except they serve it cold and without the bacon, but I know Germans do it this way (hot and with bacon). I did try it cold but preferred it hot. I wanted to use apple cider vinegar instead of white, but decided to stick to the recipe exactly. Next time I will try the cider vinegar to make it a little milder, but only because I'm not a fan of vinegar in the first place, unlike Germans. Point is, this recipe is authentic, I made it successfully, and I've never even made any kind of potato salad before.

Cheesy Sausage Pasta
I wasn't sure if this would be any good, but wanted to try something different and I was pleasantly surprised. My husband liked it and it was good as leftovers too. I followed the recipe exactly except I used chopped onions, instead of minced, and rotini twists for the pasta. I don't know how people can rate/review this if they didn't even use peppers or cheese. It wouldn't even be the same recipe anymore. I highly suggest adding the cheese to the sauce like the recipe calls for. And I also noticed that the parsley actually made a difference too because I did not use it at first.
