I made this last night, and it was a hit! My husband isn't big on roasts done in the crockpot, so I modified this recipie a bit...When the roast was done, I removed it from the crockpot and placed it on a baking pan that I had sprayed with non-stick spray. I then sprinkled black pepper over the roast, and topped it with a thin coating of minced garlic (about 2TBS). I then placed it in a 350 degree preheated oven for about 20 minutes, and YUM! The garlic made the roast less sweet and gave it more of a tang! I served it with a large tossed salad, some onion/dill bread, and mashed sweet potatoes. Nobody ate the gravy, but the roast was DEMOLISHED!
