Love cooking for my family and friends! I get stressed entertaining because I find timing the meal very stressful so I often just serve appies and always bring special dishes to friends homes when we are invited! anything NOT traditional. Never been a traditional meat n'potatoes kind of eater. We tend to eat everything with a bit of a gourmet twist i.e.: Pizza with pear and gorgonzola, meatloaf with spinach and pinenuts... Never carried any over from my family as they were not very adventurous eaters/cookers. In fact, all the meat we ever ate was over cooked so it was unidentifiable! I ate my first real steak at a friend's when I was 10. My mother asked why I ate theirs and not hers.Not knowing anything about meat I explained that they had pink juice in theirs! (med-rare!!). Our only tradition is unanimously enjoying our home-made baked goods together! :o) as always...not reading the recipe right through to the end BEFORE I make it! "Oooohhhh...I was supposed to add that then?!"
