Pesto Chicken Florentine

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2013
I had the time so I made my own pesto (the garden was full of basil that needed to be used). I also made a home made Alfredo sauce, recipe on this site. It was time consuming so next time I will try it the way the recipe is written.

Alfredo Sauce

Made this recipe to go in the Pesto Chicken Florentine recipe. I added the 2 tablespoons of home made pesto to it and it was delicious.

Chef John's Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2013
I made this recipe exactly as written except used half and half instead of heavy cream just because that is what I had in the refrigerator. I also only added about 3 tablespoons of milk to glaze because it looked like it was getting to thin. I thought the rolls were dry so the next time I am going to try this recipe with less flour and less baking time, like others have suggested. The cinnamon filling was perfect. I will try to make these one more time.

Chef John's Chocolate Lava Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2013
Flavor and texture were excellent. Very rich but small and perfect for a little something rich after a healthy meal or dinner party. I made this for dessert when Samantha and Alphonse came for dinner. Used green ramekin cups.

Eggnog Quick Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2013
I made this recipe a couple of weeks before Christmas 2012. Froze it and took it out just before Christmas. It was good but we had so much good food that we couldn't enjoy and eat everything. Try to make it another time when not over whelmed with other food.

Banana Frittata

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2012
High carb breakfast for runners! I made this recipe adding a splash of vanilla extract. Sauteing in coconut oil instead of vegetable oil. Mashed bananas instead of sliced. Divided between two frittata's in a 6 inch fry pan. When done plated and kept in warm place. Placed 2 Tablespoons of butter in fry pan added a sliced banana and 1 Tablespoon of brown sugar. Heated until warm and bananas started to soften. Spooned over two frittata's.
