About this Cook
I live with my soon to be wife and I am the cook of our little family. I was a diesel mechanic in the US Army and I work to find and help other female veterans. Will have my BA from the U of Arizona in Aug. 2011.
My favorite things to cook
Jagerschnitzel w/ Spätzle. Fried sauerkraut balls. My Chicken Paprikash. Roast beef and riffles(a family recipe that is like spätzle) Cheese enchiladas.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because of the food I get to cook and eat! Our meal consists of beer marinade injected turkey, pasta salad, garlic mashed potatoes, homemade gravy and organic green bean casserole.
My cooking triumphs
Jagerschnitzel and my Spätzle.
My cooking tragedies
I have a horrible tendency of burning butter...

Southern Grilled Barbecued Ribs
Used this for my first time making ribs. Turned out fantastically! The BBQ sauce is amazing. I did add a little local unfiltered mesquite honey as I like a sweet sauce. I can't believe how simple and delicious this was! I kept seeing recopies that took hours or even days to prep and cook. These taste like you took all day to make them.

Pretty Chicken Marinade
We love this chicken both on the grill and I even cook it in a frying pan with the marinade. I have yet to use liquid smoke because I don't have any and it still tastes great and makes the juiciest chicken.

Turkey Brine
Used this for our turkey and will be using it for a chicken as well. The gravy was amazing and the meat was the best we have ever had. There were no left-overs this year!
