Mom's Best Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
These are pretty good. It would seem like saltines would make for a quite salty pork chop but, they aren't and they turn out nice. Be careful about cook time though. I left mine in a little bit too long. Should probably check them every ten to fifteen minutes.

Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
Not only is this a mess they turn out way too salty. I was disappointed. I thought with so many good reviews this was sure to taste as good if not better than store bought. Not at all! They are like licking a salt block. Also, as it ends up it is cheaper to buy store bought with the cost of cheese right now. MIGHT turn out okay if you use plain bread crumbs with just a TOUCH of Italian seasoning.

Refreshing Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
To be fair I didn't make this recipe as listed. Because when I mixed the sour cream and honey together they smell awful! I couldn't imagine how the honey , sour cream, mayonnaise mixture would be good on the fruit. So, I took out the Mayo and sour cream and substituted with whipped cream. Yum! A nice sweet fruity salad. I also added marshmallows for fun and added fluff.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
Just okay. The gravy is a bit sweet. Overall it's just okay. I probaby will not make this again. At least not the exact same way. On a side note if you are worried about putting just dry onion mix on the bottom, don't be. The meat really does produce enough juices to make a good...but too sweet gravy.

French Toast I

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
Good French toast recipe. I agree that there may be a little too much nutmeg. Just a pinch will do. Also, please note that the recipe says 6 slices...and it means it! I didn't even use thick bread just regular whole wheat bread. So, if you are making this in hopes to maybe squeeze out a few more pieces than it says...you'd probably be better off just upping the size. Overall, very good. I'm usually not very good at making french toast and in my opinion this recipe turned out good. Will probably make again.
