Well those are the first two words we saw Damien mouth as we pulled up to gather him for a week long visit... and the words are still ringing in our ears still today! It has been a few months since we have been blessed by his presence... and he has sooooo much to fill us in on!

Unlike the last visit ... his speech is very clear... and no need to learn his Damienese speak any more!

He is so thrilled to see his room and has made sure that all of his toys are in thier designated spot!  Puzzle and coloring books... check!  Toys and reading books... check!  He promptly put his suitcase in it's little corner and digs out his jammies! After a few great giggles with Grampa and some sweet snuggles with Gramma.. He announces it is bath time!

Great bath... snug in his bed with his new Thomas the Train and Cars DVD!  It is lights out and night kisses.

This morning I awoke to... Where's Grampa?  After telling my precious boy... that grampa is at work.. He grins big and says... Good morning Gramma.... Did you have a good night sleep?  I told him in between teary eyes... The best... Buddy and you?  His reply... ummmm hmmmm!  I love you Gramma!

I gotta tell ya.... It don't get any better than this!!! Until we get into the kitchen... we'll keep you posted on our visit!

pure joy, is all I can say. Little Granbaby Gubers are the best. I love my children dearly, but grandbabies seem to have a place in our heart, we can spoil them without really spoiling them. I spent 2 weeks with our grandson, we played so much, cars, play dough, farm, ski dooing, bubbles, cards, etc. When his mom picked him up she could not believe he had not watched his favourite cartoons- he had hardly watched TV the whole time, just movies on the portable DVD player in gramma's truck because we live many ARE WE THERE YETS from anywhere.

About Me
I was a working mother of 2 boys! I didn't have much time for cooking... now that the boys are grown and on their own... I have been enjoying learning and appreciating the art of cooking. I started with a day of baking with my mother in law and I was hooked! Not to mention my new stepkids... what was two... now is four! Our family is growing we now have a grandson, Damien, and one on the way! My grandson loves his visits with Gramma and Grampa...We spend quality time in the kitchen snd chronical our visits here on AR!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! It is my therapy...I love to buy and read all types of recipe books ( call me old fashion ) but it's fun to pick out 1 recipe in a new book and try it the day I get the book!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband and I have great times cooking meals together! When the kids come to visit we let them request their menu of choice. Funny twist... my two boys request Jim's culinary feasts... Jim's two request Stepmom's dinner delights! Works out fine at the end of the day!
My cooking triumphs
Check out my pics, the wedding cake? It was my 1st attempt at a wedding cake... can you believe it... I still can't!
My cooking tragedies
so many... hard to pick just one! but isn't that the joy of cooking?
