Well, It’s another Valentines Day! Jim and I are not at the point where either of us felt like gussy -ing up and going out! Jim still needs the cane for long distance ambulation and sitting in one spot for long periods of time is just plain uncomfy! ( we are
now 7 weeks out from his total knee )!
Our plans for this most of romantic holidays… other than our Anniversary… is a romantic spin on one of my favorite childhood comfort food! Grilled hamburger steak, served over French fries, topped with cheddar cheese and mushroom gravy… I’ve mentioned this
in a past blog… Issaqueena Falls Restaurant in my home town! It’s no longer around, but lives forever in my memory!

Here is how I romantically one upped this awesome dinner…..
I still kept the hamburger steaks on the grill… Jim was so excited to be in the yard grilling’ … but I made a onion, mushroom, red wine sauce to top it with! Instead of the French fries… I made a vege a gratin with potatoes, cauliflower, onions and used a béchamel
and three Cheeses, a necessary side salad and a bottle of Merlot!
Did you notice how we dressed up for the occaision...?
