Last week we had the grandson with us… the minute he left, Jim and I, looked at each other and realized the deafening silence in the house! As we get ready for bed, I pass by Damien’s bedroom , all of his toys are in his toy box, all of his books are in
his book box, his bed was neatly made and I remembered, just yesterday that room was toys and books from wall to wall! Laughter filled the house for an entire week!
Now I know everyone is probably tired of me posting about the grandson… I like to think that you are not…but I feel this is a good way to chronicle my time with him, that he and I can read together one day! We shared so many special moments and I like
to reread what we did on certain visits and my hopes are that he one day will appreciate it also!
My grand parents died when I was very young or before I was born, you see I am the youngest of five children… and the life expectancy of that generation was not really a ripe old age. I wish I would have gotten to spend happy moments in the kitchen if
not with both my grandmothers but at least one! Damien and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen! That is just our time and he loves cooking and mixing and tasting and showing off the end result… With a proud… “ Wook at dis Grampa !”
I promise only a few pics… but he is just soooo darn cute!
