My rather large family gets together every year on the Saturday before Christmas. We truly EAT… DRINK… and there is a ton of MERRY!
Well this year, I arrived at the party with my desserts in tow…( remember I was in charge of all the desserts this year)… and I took a look at the awesomely set table… Wow! What a spread! My next observation as I scanned the room was… where in the world did all these kiddo’s come from… There were children of all ages, and lots of them!

I spied my nieces and nephews, all holding their own offspring! I saw my very own son, holding my precious grandson… and I thought to myself… me and my siblings… That’s where all these guys came from!!

As I perused through the room with my ever present camera, snapping away… I meet up with my great nephew, Justin… and guess what?.. At his side was his new fiancée! Are we possibly on the verge of a great great niece or nephew????

Well…. The day was awesome and loud! We are, admittedly so a very loud group of loving family!

I thought I would share a few of my favorite pics… Merry Christmas to you all from my family to yours!

You all look so happy to be together. It is an inspiration. My big family of childhood is spread around, but I am blessed with my son and his family close by. Still makes me wish I was at your get together. Like to give that Damien a hug. Too cute

I must also mention... my Brother, Ren, his three girls, son in laws, and 3 grandkids... were not present! And Genia's oldest and her 4 grand's were not able to make it and quite a few others! So the staircase picture can only hold so many... We need two staircases next year!

Beautiful family! Isn't it amazing to see your kids as parents? I mean they were children themselves yesterday, right? I love the tradition of the same setting for your pictures. Merry Christmas!

Beautiful family, I can relate to the idea of where the heck did all these little people come from? Our boys were once the young ones at the functions, with all their cousins. They now tower over me and are also the game co-ordinators, intervenors, and the human helicopters and ponies. Seeing your pictures has brought on a new sense of excitement to meet with all the family later this week. Thanks for sharing

About Me
I was a working mother of 2 boys! I didn't have much time for cooking... now that the boys are grown and on their own... I have been enjoying learning and appreciating the art of cooking. I started with a day of baking with my mother in law and I was hooked! Not to mention my new stepkids... what was two... now is four! Our family is growing we now have a grandson, Damien, and one on the way! My grandson loves his visits with Gramma and Grampa...We spend quality time in the kitchen snd chronical our visits here on AR!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! It is my therapy...I love to buy and read all types of recipe books ( call me old fashion ) but it's fun to pick out 1 recipe in a new book and try it the day I get the book!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband and I have great times cooking meals together! When the kids come to visit we let them request their menu of choice. Funny twist... my two boys request Jim's culinary feasts... Jim's two request Stepmom's dinner delights! Works out fine at the end of the day!
My cooking triumphs
Check out my pics, the wedding cake? It was my 1st attempt at a wedding cake... can you believe it... I still can't!
My cooking tragedies
so many... hard to pick just one! but isn't that the joy of cooking?
