Corned Beef ...Check! - Kraut ...Check!

I can almost taste my Reubens already!
Well just in case you missed my last blog... "Bragging Rights" ... here's the scoop...
Jim and I have a tradition during the cooler weather , of makin two meals to get to the main event on the third night... ( now usually Jim is the designated cook of the first two meals... but circumstaces dictate that I'm up to bat this year!)
Corned beef and cabbage (corned beef) ---> pork and saurkraut ( saurkraut ) ---> The Almighty Reuben Sandwich!
Yesterday,the corned beef turned out awesome!
Today...well the pork and saurkraut met with Jim's approval... so we are well on our way to a gorgeously yummy sandwich for dinner tomorrow! The swiss cheese , thousand island dressing and the pumpernickle/ rye bread are waiting in the wings!
For my first time with Jim's pork and kraut recipe.. I think I did pretty well! ( There I go bragging again! )
If you are not a big fan of Kraut you have to give this recipe a try...It's just one of the reasons I married this man!!!
