I awoke this am at the usual time even though I had a rare day off. My first inclination was to plan my day...

There are so many options as I still need to get more desserts into the freezer for the family christmas...

There is cleaning to be done that cannot happen with my two little loves hanging onto my pant legs...

Or Reading.... Awwww that sweet luxury that I can sink myself into another world of wonder and excitement....

Since the weather has been so Hot/ Cold lately some of my rose bushes have again grown and blooms are lingering on their scrawny branches.... It's a nice day, so maybe a little yard work can be enjoyed....

Well here is what I actually got accomplished...

Breakfast ----> sleep----> lunch----> sleep ----> Blog ----> Wait for Jim to get home to take me to dinner!

I love a do nothing day, after all I think each of us deserve one every now and then... And there is always tomorrow!

You had a tough day, but someone had to suffer through it. Enjoy your dinner!

Of course, you won't tell Jim how tough you had it, right? Nice guy that he is, he'll want to stay home and help you through it.

But you did accomplish a lot, you nourished your body, you rested your brain, you recharged your batteries, you enjoyed your husband, you shared yourself with your AR friends. I think that is a very productive day and you deserved it.

About Me
I was a working mother of 2 boys! I didn't have much time for cooking... now that the boys are grown and on their own... I have been enjoying learning and appreciating the art of cooking. I started with a day of baking with my mother in law and I was hooked! Not to mention my new stepkids... what was two... now is four! Our family is growing we now have a grandson, Damien, and one on the way! My grandson loves his visits with Gramma and Grampa...We spend quality time in the kitchen snd chronical our visits here on AR!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! It is my therapy...I love to buy and read all types of recipe books ( call me old fashion ) but it's fun to pick out 1 recipe in a new book and try it the day I get the book!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband and I have great times cooking meals together! When the kids come to visit we let them request their menu of choice. Funny twist... my two boys request Jim's culinary feasts... Jim's two request Stepmom's dinner delights! Works out fine at the end of the day!
My cooking triumphs
Check out my pics, the wedding cake? It was my 1st attempt at a wedding cake... can you believe it... I still can't!
My cooking tragedies
so many... hard to pick just one! but isn't that the joy of cooking?
