I haven't had my little angel all week. Her mommy had knee surgery and is keeping her at home. As usual when she is not occupying Oma's time... I turn to my second love... Baking!
I go to my pantry to check out the available treasures and for the first time ever... No butter ... no milk! Seriously this has never happened to me before! Since we are a one vehicle family by choice and the hubby is working today... I'm not walkin' to the
What to do?... What to do?
I go again to my favorite food site... peruse through the recipes... frantically searching for something to bake that did not require, the greatest gift to a baker, BUTTER. Well I found out exactly what I expected... No luck!
However now that I am in baking mode and there is no turning back, I can't get this cinnamon roll craving out of my head: Why ? You ask...
1. I've never made them before.
2. I'm on this kopy cat kick that a Crazy friend of mine turned me onto ( thanks Stevie )... I really wanna copy Cinnabon cinnamon rolls.
3. Today was just made for baking... fairly cool, early fall day, with low humidity, windows open to waft the heavenly oven smells throughout the house and the neighborhood!
I check into my Facebook page and see that little block that says... What's on your mind! I share what's on my mind.... " I need Butter! " not ten minutes later, my phone rings... " Oma, do you need some butter?" Tiffany to the rescue... God bless my Angels
.....And let the baking begin!
