Facelift for Roger!

I love to cook, but this time a year you'll find me in the yard more than in the kitchen. Last weekend was spent planting, weeding, fertilizing, and pruning. I water lovingly every morning. This morning, being no different, I start my watering ritual,
giving each little beauty a good soaking, and suddenly noticed "Roger" my garden gnome staring sadly at me.
Roger has been a fixture in my garden for quite a few years now. Faithfully keeping a careful watch over his colorful new neighbors. He has endured thunderstorms, creepy crawlies, and even the car bumper my son accidently parked on top of him. For all of
his faithful service, I decided he was in dire need of a makeover.
First into the kitchen sink for a nice bath. Then onto the screened porch to dry in the sun. While Roger was drying, I gathered my acrylic paints, my paintbrushes, and a clean palate.... I contemplated over Jazzing him up a bit... you know give him a new
look. As I squeezed the paint onto the palate that I was planning to use... I looked at my old friend on the porch and decided he probably did not want that. So Roger was restored to his original look, save the bumps and bruises from over the years and even
the unfortunate car incident.
I honor of my faithful friend... I thought I would share this with all of you. I'm thinking... I've got way too much time on my hands... Do you think I need to get back in the kitchen?..... I think I do!!!!
Happy Springtime from Roger and Me!
