Beer Margaritas

I prefer margaritas with some orange liquor like Cointreau to these. I could definitely taste the beer and I used corona.

Carib Black Bean Soup

Absolutely delicious. Followed recipe as written starting with dried beans. Had to cook a little longer than stated in recipe. I used a submersion blender to puree some but not all the beans. Thanks for posting this wonderful recipe, William!

Strawberry Angel Food Dessert

I used MANDT2's changes as well as yellow cake that I left in the pan after baking then topped with the whipped cream mixture, then that reviewer's strawberry glaze and fresh strawberries.

Greek Green Beans

Love it. I did add oregano, parsley and liquid just to cover the beans as other reviewers suggested. (im not sure how they can cook so long with no liquid but the original recipe doesnt include any ??) This was very yummy.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

This is a great easy dinner. I keep cubed ham frozen and my son helps cube the potatoes using our French fry cutter. I use extra onion and celery and add carrots.

Cream of Mushroom Soup III

I made this soup twice this weekend it is so delicious and easy. The only changes I made were to use half and half rather than cream and add some thyme and black pepper. On the second go-round I used only half the amount of cream (half&half) called for (trying to reduce my fat intake) and it was still delicious. I can't wait to try this with some of the more exotic kinds of mushrooms. (I used pre-sliced white button.) Thanks, Sadie!

Barbecued Country Ribs

Chicken Fried Chicken

I floured first as one reviewer suggested. The breading got crispy and stayed put. The kids liked it because they said it tasted "salty." It was a little too salty in my opinion, but pretty good.

Italian Wedding Soup I

So good! I used 1/2 ground turkey and 1/2 turkey sausage for the meatballs (doubled batch and froze half for later), baked at 350 for 20-30 mins; and pre-cooked the 1/2 cup orzo before adding at the end. Also added 1 c. beef broth and some thinly sliced celery. (Thanks, other reviewers!). Everyone loved it and I will definitely make again.

Turkey Breast with Gravy

I did the onions/celery, added broth to cover the bottom of the pan, then totally spaced out and completely forgot the spices! I basically put it in naked. Cooked about 2 hours and was done. It was excellent and made excellent gravy despite my major gaffe.

Angel Chicken Pasta

This is good. I used regular cream cheese. I was out of wine (I know, horrors!) and added about 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard because I felt it would need a kick in place of the wine. It worked well. Family liked. I served with rice.

Quinoa Pilaf

You can do a lot with this and alter as your pantry requires. I didn't have celery but did add some red bell pepper. Also, didn't have bay but used oregano. Forgot the lemon. But it was still quite good! I was surprised when hubby went back for seconds! We've never had quinoa before and he's not an adventerous eater. Thanks, Laura!

Thank you hike4diamonds. It's always good to have another easy veggie in the aresenal. Will definitely make this again. However, my garlic burned, so I may leave the garlic out until the end and just use a little garlic powder

Yummy yummy! I added 3 green onions, 1 small can of water chestnuts, drained and chopped, a dash of cayenne and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper. Couldn't find that exact recipe anywhere on Allrecipes.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

I finally got to make this for a party and most people really liked it. I used 2 peaches instead of the raspberries and left out the white sugar and 1 T of the preserves. I used Trader Joes cinnamon sugar pita chips -- they are quite good and much easier!

Rosemary Roasted Pork Tenderloin

Excellent! I did not marinate but put all ingedients in the crock pot for 5 hours on high. I used half a pork roast, not the tenderloins, so it's a bigger piece of meat. But it was very tender and juicy. I made a gravy out of the leftover liquid in the crock pot. I will be adding this to my regular repetoir!

Southern Style Thanksgiving Green Beans

This was really good and I didn't even use any ham or bacon. . This is the recipe I will use from now on. I guess it has to do with the vinegar. You don't taste the vinegar, but it must do something to make them good.

Prosciutto-Wrapped Chicken Breasts with Herbed Goat Cheese

Made for a dinner party, served with grilled asparagus and rice pilaf. It was a hit. Tons of compliments and the plates looked as if they had been licked clean. I had to send hubby back to store for more prosciutto, though, as each piece of chicken needed 2 slices. I bought big pieces of chicken because I thought they would be easier to make a pocket in. The prosciutto stays on nicely with no toothpicks and keeps the yummy filling in. I made the recipe exactly as written. Thanks, Stefychefy!
