Oatmeal Pie IV

Onion Rings

Just made them as the recipe states and my family absolutely loved them. Next time I'm going to make with beer instead of water and add a little salt to the mix.

Not good! How the pictures turned out with yellow filling is beyond me. The filling was brown and runny. Very unappealing. I love worcestershire and horseradish but the worcestershire sauce is very strong.I

Almond Bear Claws

I made these as written and really liked them. I did add a glaze to the top made with powdered sugar,amaretto liquor, and a few drops of milk. YUM! I didn't put the almonds on top before cooking since some said they burned and just added after the glaze was drizzled on top.

Cake Balls

I used amaretto liquor with yellow cake and dipped it in chocolate. It tasted good but the time to dip and mess with toothpicks stuck in each and then I stuck those in a big piece of styrofoam so the would be nicely formed was just too much work.

Sweet and Tangy Slow Cooker Bar-B-Q Pork

It fell off the bone but that wasn't a good thing. I used county style ribs and I washed the meat before cooking but as we ate we had small pieces of bone in the meat. It was as bad as eating fish having to pick bones out of my mouth. Not sure if it was due to the cooking so long or what. I wont be making it again.

Eggnog French Toast

I had to change the recipe as it is the toast gets too soggy. I use 4 eggs and 1 cup egg nog then just nutmeg dashed in before I dip each one because the spice just floats on the top and is gone after a few slices are dipped. We always use Kings Hawaiian bread sliced thick. Dip the bread quickly and then cook immediatly. Tastes great with blueberry syrup too.

Raspberry Inferno Sauce

Rhubarb Berry Jam

I wasn't a rhubarb fan but this is really good. I made it exactly as stated and the flavor was great. I made my own blueberry pie filling since I had a lot of frozen blueberries. Mine is runnier than you'd buy at the store for jam but who knows about the water content in either my rhubarb or blueberries. I did thaw the blueberries before making the pie filling. If you've got more rhubarb try the "Struesel Rhubarb Bread" on this site. It is moist & fabulous.

Fruit Pizza

Very good. I made mine in a tart pan and everyone thought it was made in an upscale bakery. I did put on bananas and kiwi also and it flew off the table. Everyone was salivating over it.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Good but not fantastic. The dip looked a little pinkish from the hot sauce. Not sure if that is what scared people from it but it didn't get eaten much at the party.

I don't usually ever say something is too sweet but this was. The topping would be best to cut back. It didn't go over very well. I had lots of leftover when I left the party.

Peanut Butter Fudge Cake

WOW!!! I'm not even the big chocolate/peanut butter eater in the house and I even thought this was great. I made exactly as recipe calls but did microwave the peanut butter to spead on easier. This will be made often in my house. Thanks

Asian Coleslaw

This is awesome. Beware it makes quite a bit. I don't add the dressing to all of the slaw because I know we'll have leftovers. So just add to what you'll eat at that meal because it's best with the dressing just added. I made a few slight changes. I used one tablespoon of sesame oil and 2 Tbls olive oil. I also used 1/2 red peppper and 1/2 yellow pepper. Then I chopped some peanuts up and tossed some on top. It looked and tasted wonderful. What a great way to use up cabbage and all the peppers in my garden. Thanks for a great recipe.
