Great Pumpkin Dessert

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
I made this for my company Thanksgiving party and everyone raved about it(well, everyone except those who don't like pumpkin). I used a cup of butter like everyone suggested and when it first came out of the oven it was swimming in butter but after about 10 minutes it sets up beautifully. I also sprinkled cinnamon on top before baking and added a little bit of salt to the pumpkin mixture to cut the sweetness. Very good recipe. A definate keeper!! :O)

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2002
Oh, this was great! I made it for christmas eve appetizers and my husband and I practically ate the whole thing in one sitting. The only thing I would change is I would not get the marinated artickoes again. They were too salty and I would also chop them up. I didn't care too much for the big chunks of artickokes. I also took some of the others advice and mixed all the cheeses and the sauce together and used the whole thing of cream chesse. I also added some pepper and garlic to the cheese mixture. Then I put mozzerella on top. For the cheese mixture I used an italian mix of cheese. Also, next time I make it I will mix everything together. I like it that way. thanks for a great recipe

Cocktail Meatballs I

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2002
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!! I cannot tell you how good these were! I took them to a christmas party last night and I got tuns of compliments on them. I loved them myself. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. I only had about 9 meatballs left in my pot when it was all said and done and the only reason for that is because there was so much other foods there. I put them in the crock pot but did so too late so to speed things up I put the sauce and the meatballs(frozen homestyle) into a pot on the stove and slow boiled them for about 30 minutes and then put them in the crock pot to take to the party. They were perfect, great taste and great texture! Don't try the sauce when you first put them it because its gross but when everything cooks together its wonderful. Take my word for it, TRY THIS RECIPE!!!

Chicken Crunch

I thought this recipe was alright but if your going to eat a lot of fat and calories I wouldn't choose this recipe. It was filling but not very tasty. My husband hated it so I told him I wouldn't make it again. Sorry kim, my family didn't like it.

Chicken Honey Nut Stir Fry

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2002
I loved this recipe. Who knew healthy food could taste so good. I left out the celery and didn't add nuts because my husband does not like them in stir fry and I added about a tablespoon and a half to make it a little sweeter. I also added a little garlic and salt and pepper to taste which is not mentioned in the recipe. This will be how I make stir fry from now on. Oh, and I also used olive oil and it turned out just great. I might try sunflower seed oil next time. Thanks for a great recipe.

Impossibly Easy Chicken Pot Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2002
This recipe was alright for a quick dinner. It was very very bland. It really needs some spices added and maybe some cheddar cheese. My husband did not like it! I gave the leftovers to him for lunch and he brang it back untouched and got something else for lunch. If you like bland food this ones for you but I will not be making this again!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2002
I made this for my first company dinner in my new house. I made two chickens for 5 guests and there wasnt' very much left. The meat was the most tender I have ever had and the leftovers made the most wonderful chicken salad. I used more spices of coarse. I used a lot of garlic, tony's, salt, pepper, paprika, lemon juice, basted it with melted butter, and chopped some green onions to put on top and it came out perfect. Use heavy spices but be careful not to use to much hot spices or the bird will come out spicy which is not what I like. My husband and I like to have fresh lunches for work so I cook mine while we are sleeping so when we wake up we have a chicken dinner for lunch and the chicken is still great for dinner.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2002
Wow, this tastes like a very creamy cheesecake. I took it to a potluck dinner at church last night and at first everyone was just asking questions about it but as soon as they tried they loved it. They all asked me for the recipe. I took the suggestion of some others and used grahm cracker sticks. They were perfect but I do think it would be better with chocolate wafers although I couldn't find any. It's very easy! I used a cup and half of confectioners sugar and 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, to me it made it perfect(I like things a little sweeter). I also put it in the fridge overnight then I formed a ball in wax paper and put it in the freezer while I was at work. It was still softer than I thought but as soon as you put the pecans on it forms a nice ball. I loved this recipe! Its very very bad but oh so yummy. I ate the rest of it for breakfast(which wasn't much after last night) bad me! :)

Aunt Mazo's Dessert

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2002
It was good but nothing to write home about. I think you really have to like caramel to like this dessert. I used pecans and chocolate chips instead of cherries. I love the caramel by itself! I think it will be good on icecream and I will make it again for that purpose.
