Mom's Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
Great recipe if you read all the reviews FIRST and cut the salt by 500%! Way way way too much salt.

Breakfast Pies

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
Good flavor and great concept - agree with another reviewer that even the Grands Jr's puff up way too much! really press them up the sides. I think they need to be eggier too - next time 4 eggs. Reheated well.

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies II

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
Perfect no-bake cookies - very rich and satisfying. My regular recipe for this type of cookie does not call for the evaporated milk and I think it adds a lot to the mouth feel and texture of this cookie.

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
If you substitute garlic powder in this recipe just remember that this is much stronger then real garlic. Overall, very very good and the chicken was moist.

Made this for Christmas morning paired with cinnamon rolls and leftover ham from Christmas Eve. It was delicious. I love most any breakfast casserole type dish. Easy.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
Classic is correct - these were perfect. I did take the suggestions of others and use 1 1/2 cups of peanut butter and 2 3/4 cups AP flour. I also added about 3/4 tsp. vanilla.

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
I had ham left-over from Christmas dinner and used it in this recipe successfully. The flavor was a little bland to my palate, but actually I think it tasted how scalloped potatoes with ham is supposed to taste. My "meat and potatoes" husband loved it.

Chunky Applesauce

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
Worked out perfectly - use a little less sugar then it calls for and then taste and add more half way through the cooking time if needed. Mine was a little too sweet, but still very good.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
OMG! I thought everyone was crazy, it couldn't be THAT good, and it couldn't taste THAT much like a deep fried popper - but it IS that good and it does taste that close to it. Made if for New Years for some friends that love the hot stuff and it was a huge hit. I did 3/4 cup parm cheese in the spread and 1/4 on top with a little cheddar on top too. I used the entire can of jalapeno as others had suggested. Perfect.

Kevin's Sausage Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2007
I loved it. I used suggestions by others and did the following: one roll of hot sausuage, one roll of mild sausage, 2 cans of rotel, and three bricks of cream cheese. I browned the meat, put it all in the crock pot on low, and ta dah! perfect.

Concept great! Easy, fun, great idea. Not so sure about the "spread." Need to tinker with it a little. Too buttery or something................

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
Mixed up quickly, but for me the issue is not how long it takes to cook pudding it is how long it takes to really chill. Ok taste, not super rich and creamy.

Chocolate Mint Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2006
The cookie was like a brownie - the andes mint melts quickly in just a minute or two and spreads easily. I baked a triple batch for a cookie swap party - perfect! a huge hit! My party theme was mint. We had cookies and cocktails - mint cookies, candy canes everywhere, mint bourbon iced tea.....great!!!!!

Quick and Easy Brownies

Reviewed: May 23, 2006
I thought it was a great cakey brownie recipe. I didn't change and thing and they turned out great for a teacher appreciation type brunch at my son's school. I sprinkled them with powdered sugar and piled them on a plate. Excellent.
