Curry Stand Chicken Tikka Masala Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
We tried this recipe tonight and I was true to the instructions except for the ghee. I just used regular butter but all other ingredients were per the recipe. This was awesome! Just what we look for in a good saucy curry. We added cauliflower when sautéing the chicken.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Made this last night and we loved it! Made as directed. Loved the sherry in the gravy. I wish I had made more gravy. We look forward to having this again!

Quick and Easy Mexican Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2012
This was a hit! Pickled Jalepeno peppers on top of the cheese when it goes in the oven really adds to the Mexican (Tex-mex?) taste. Sour cream served with, really completes the dish. Will do again.

Slow Cooker Pierogie Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
To Catrv - you certainly don't need a slow cooker to enjoy this. This is ready to serve after all the ingredients are cooked and combined. The slow cooker is a great way to hold the meal for a potluck for to have ready after a busy afternoon.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
We've made this a couple times now. I've always cut back on the honey as it is a bit sweet for our taste. DH made this on his own yesterday not having read the reviews and used the full amount of honey. It was sweet. @ Snack Cake - but when I tasted it at room temp I thought it tasted like a pasta sauce - still I would cut back on the sweetness, which ever way one chooses to sweeten (honey, sugar or substitute). I think this is a great pizza sauce and recipes are meant to be customized to one's preferences/requirements.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
We really enjoyed this! A definite 'do over'. Might go less on the cream as it took a while to reduce. Also, it is very rich so it is not something we would have very often. I tasted before adding the cream and it would be good that way on the pasta as well! First time I've made a real cream sauce and this is restaurant quality that I can do at home.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2008
We really enjoyed this with boneless, skinless thighs. I did not use all the sugar as called for and will cut back even more next time. I'm also a little concerned about the sodium so I will try a low sodium soy sauce next time. Baked covered with foil for about 40 mins total. Sauce really is excellent. I think it would be best with plain rice and broccoli or steamed snow peas. Don't let anything compete with the sauce. This will be easy to feed a crowd - I'm thinking next food day at work.

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
My first review! We really loved this recipe – though there were some changes. I seared the meat in a sauce pan before going into the 9 x 13 dish. I thought 2 cups wine was a lot so I went with others and did 1 cup wine and 1 cup broth but I didn’t have any broth in the house…I had an opened package of Lipton’s French Onion Soup though (the recipe maker!) and it turned out great! Used that with one cup water and 1 cup (cheap) Merlot. I scattered the celery and the thinly sliced onion over top but they did not tenderize very nicely at all. They will be ‘sweated’ next time I make this dish. We really enjoyed this dish with mashed potatoes and peas. I definitely think I can serve this to company!
