Fluffy French Toast

yum! be sure not to soak the bread too long or else your toast will fall apart when you're trying to move it to the pan! also, medium heat works well. medium-high kinda burns the outside of the toast before cooking the inside. i made a batch to freeze and eat for the week week! wahoo!

Shepherd's Pie VI

This dish was AMAZING with a few changes that I made! I used potato flakes to make the mashed potatoes. I also added diced celery, red pepper and corn to the the carrots and mixed all the veggies into the beef before pouring it into the pan. For flavoring the beef, I also added 1.5 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce and doubled the amount of ketchup. I also added a teaspoon of sugar to the beef to balance out the flavor of the beef and make it more well-rounded. Lastly and probably most importantly, I added a tablespoon of taco seasoning to the beef and that really gave it the flavor it needed! My mom reallyyy liked this dish and you will too if you add some additional flavoring for the beef!

My Best Clam Chowder

so delicious! this was my first time making a chowder and it was very successful. i used half a quart of half and half and the other half i used skim milk, and it was still really rich!

A Simply Perfect Roast Turkey

This was my first turkey I made and it was so easy! The meat is so juicy, i was so surprised. I basted every hour for the first 2.5 hours and then for the second half i basted every 30 minutes. Also I put butter, salt and pepper between the skin and the breast meat. I also made gravy out of the drippings and it was also delicious (but a bit salty). I am glad this was so successful since it was my first turkey that I made myself, and I am only 17 years old. woohoo! If this is your first time roasting a turkey I strongly suggest you use this recipe, its pretty hard to go wrong with this. Happy roasting!
