Elegant Fig Appetizers with Goat Cheese and Almonds

I used green figs as apposed to black. I like all of these individual ingredients, but I don't really know that they helped each-other be something better than their parts.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

FANTASTIC. I have shared this recipe with countless friends who have loved it and make it all the time themselves. To cut cost, I sometimes buy blueberries and raspberries that I squish down to add to the mix- don't thing you would want to go frozen on any of the other ingredients though, the crunch of the fresh fruit is part of its overall appeal. I am not big on sugar, so i usually just sprinkle about a tablespoon of white sugar on, and omit the brown sugar and preserves. I like the contrast of the tart fresh fruit and slightly sweet cinnamon chips. Ann, thank you so much!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

This is a great whole wheat recipe. I love my bread jam-packed full of nutty flavors so I do adjust it to have half of the honey, have never added butter, and I add any seeds/oats that I have around. I always find that it helps to add the first 4 ingredients and let them set covered with a damp towel for a half hour before continuing on because it allows the breads proteins to connect to form a strong elasticity before adding all of the seeds that will block those connections in the later rise. I make this bread at least once a week.

Quinoa Tabbouleh

I add this to pitas stuffed with falafel, tzatziki and hummus. I have found the green onion to be a little overwhelming and eliminated it from the recipe for my use in the wrap. Great way to add and extra health boost to a vegetarian diet

Lavash Cracker Bread

Easy base recipe to add spices to, very versatile. I imagine it would be very tricky doing this one on your own- rolling/cutting the crackers while rotating pans in the oven is a very fast process and hard to keep up with. Lots of fun to do with friends though!

Asparagus Cheese Soup

Not my favorite Asparagus Cheese soup. It was however fast and easy. In all fairness I used a medium cheddar cheese in place of the processed cheese, which may have changed the consistency.
