Sweet and Sour Sauce I
After reading some reviews, I followed the suggestions from others and the sauce turned out fantastic. I will no longer buy sweet and sour sauce at the store, this is an easy recipe. I tend to double the batch and store some in the fridge so it is available when I am needing a dipping sauce. Here is the recipe that I use.... 1/4 C of brown sugar 1/2 C of white sugar 1/3 cup white vinegar 1/4 C of pineapple juice and pineapple chunks 1/4 C of ketchup 1/4 cup soy sauce If it is too thin then add a little flour to help give it some body. Boil on the stove and let cool, it will thicken as it cools. This is more of a sweet version of the sauce, if too sweet then reduce the amount of pineapple juice and/or sugar.
